Ever noticed how that all the best token spells have that pesky number in their cost? Well, Blood Funnel is here to get rid of it. Want to know how? Here's how:

How does it work?

More often than not, this deck will play out like your average, run-of-the-mill B/W Tokens deck: play token spells, then anthem effects, then Elspeth, then more Elspeth, then ultimate Elspeth. Chump block if needed, beat face whenever possible.

However, it all changes when you have Blood Funnel in your opening hand. Play any 1-drop creature on turn 1 (preferably Doomed Traveler) and Blood Funnel on turn 2, and you're pretty much set up for the rest of the game - as in, all your enchantments and sorceries will cost less, at the cost of sacrificing a creature whenever you play one.

"Sacrificing a creature? But if all your spells do is generate creatures, what's the point?"

Indeed, it does seem counterintuitive. In fact, this deck tends to be slower at flooding the board with tokens than its tier 2 counterpart. Lingering Souls and Raise the Alarm both cost only to cast, but generate only one token; Spectral Procession costs , but creates only two spirits rather than three. In short, you're paying exactly one mana for each 1/1 token you put on the board, and only one at a time. Doesn't sound that great, does it?

Here's the catch: this deck likes killing its own dudes. Each time you pitch a Spirit or Soldier to Blood Funnel, there's a chance of one of the following happening:
