Hello! Ever since Eidolon of Blossoms was spoiled, I've wanted to piece together a competitive standard deck featuring it. Here's my second attempt! I'm looking for constructive criticism and ideas to make this a powerhouse!
The point of the deck is to land an Eidolon, and then start shoving enchantments down your opponents throat, gaining massive card advantage, and completely overwhelming them! Card by card breakdown follows...
Underworld Coinsmith
- This deck gains a bunch of life almost on accident. Get ahead a bit, and this guy can finish the job.
Grim Guardian
- Slowly saps away at the opponent, great defender.
Courser of Kruphix - Essential land fixing, great blocker, and an enchantment to boot! Definitely belongs here.
Eidolon of Blossoms - The star! Get two of these down at once, and the card advantage becomes insane!
Mana Bloom - A place to pump spare mana, or a 1 drop enchantment that returns to my hand next turn so I can draw more cards/ping my opponent/gain life.
Font of Fertility
- Cheap enchantment, gets me way ahead on the curve.
Nylea's Presence - Fixes my land base, cantrips.
Banishing Light - Deals with everything, yet another enchantment, and sticks around to interact with Sphere of Safety.
Sphere of Safety - I regularly make it so my opponents have to pay 10 mana to attack me per creature! Outrageously good in this deck.
Primeval Bounty - So good. Lifegain, Creatures, Counters? All in one package? Yes please!
