Instant (4)

This is a budget Mono green devotion/stompy deck. The deck is quite simple and somewhat competitive.

Creatures:

I put in four Llanowar Elves to make sure I can get a turn 2 Steel Leaf Champion or Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig. However, I decided not to put in any more mana dorks, as they are really bad topdecks in both the late game and in the middle of the game. I also have 22 lands so having mana will be easy. Steel Leaf Champion is a very important card in this deck. It is a big creature that is sometimes evasive and hard to chump block. Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig is very similar but can sometimes be actually better. It synergizes well with Avatar of the Resolute and can grow every time a green creature comes in play. Unfortunately, the card is legendary, so I only put in 3 copies. Strangleroot Geist is another great creature in this deck. It adds devotion, and fits right into the mana curve. It also survives from board wipes, Fatal Push and more. The Experiment One and Pelt Collector are great one drops. They get buffed up up by pretty much every other creature in this deck. I decided on only 2 Experiment One and 4 Pelt Collector because I didn't want too much one drops. Avatar of the Resolute works well with all the creatures in this deck except for Steel Leaf Champion. It usually comes down as a 2 mana 5/4, which is amazing.

Enchantments:

Rancor is just amazing in this deck. It gives trample to my creatures, which is very important. It also gives an attack boost, but most importantly, it's cheap and can be used multiple times.

Instants:

Vines of Vastwood serves as a way to protect our creatures from removal. It can at times even be used aggressively (kicker). Blossoming Defense does almost the same thing, but I only have one copy of it in the deck because it does not give a huge attack boost. Aspect of Hydra is our main payoff for running such a devotion heavy deck. It is a cheap instant that wins games many times.

The Mana Base:

The mana base in this deck is a little strange, I have to admit. I have 22 lands in this deck, which may seem like a lot for an aggro deck with lots of cheap spells. However, 6 of these lands are non-baisics. First of all, Waterlogged Grove and Nurturing Peatland produce green mana and draws you cards. Tranquil Thicket is similar but cycles instead of having to put it on the battlefield. Aggro decks often run out of cards quickly, and theses cards help fill your hand very cheaply. Prismatic Vista is here only to thin our deck out of lands. Treetop Village is a great land in this deck. It is amazing in grindy or control matchups since lands are harder to kill and can't be countered.

Sideboard:

Life Goes On is for burn decks or other very aggro decks. Force of Vigor deals with artifacts and enchantments for essentially 0 mana, which is very important. Collector Ouphe is more artifact hate but is great because it can attack and block. Tormod's Crypt is for cheap graveyard hate against Dredge, Pheonix, Snapcaster Mage, and more. Reclamation Sage is another artifact/enchantment hate that can attack. Scavenging Ooze is also for graveyard hate but can grow consistantly. Often times it's a 5/5 or bigger in grindy matchups. Dismember is just a good removal spell against any creature decks. It can also deal with indestructible creatures which is nice. Dismember is also almost always 1 mana (we can use Nurturing Peatland if we are really low on life).

Any suggestion are welcome! I'm trying my best to keep this deck as fast and competitive as possible while on a budget. Thank you! :)
