Works by doing everything you can to get a swing through with Brago, then blink everything you have out for extra value. We need to protect our commander in this deck, as he is the main cog that everything relies on.

This deck is tuned to my comfort zone. It's powerful but doesn't have some of the most expensive you could potentially put in a Brago deck. I have recently tweaked it to have a tiny pillowfort/stax theme, for my local meta. I'm always open to suggestions for some changes, I definitely don't know every magic card. I do have a way of getting infinite mana in this deck, I'll point it out if you don't already know it. Anyways, here is a breakdown of some of the things the deck wants to do and the cards that let you do them:

Ways to get damage through

Every Brago deck has one weakpoint: if you want to win, you will probably need your commander. King Brago also needs to actually smack a person in the face in order to really have an impact...but oh boy, what an impact he has. Just getting one swing in with our commander and things start getting really spicy. He costs 2UW and is a 2/4 flying body, so already he can take a bit of a hit and has a little evasion built in. But here's some cards to up the evasion factor to help get that damage through:

Trailblazer's Boots - Name a commander deck without nonbasics

Whispersilk Cloak - The classic equipment to make a creature unblockable and have shroud. Shroud does have a little downside in this deck but not too bad.

Aqueous Form - Unblockable and scry 1 on attack

Unquestioned Authority - Gives our boy protection from creatures and it's a cantrip so we can blink it upon contact for added value.

I've slimmed down that section of the deck, I found that just being a flyer seems to let me sneak in a swing on someone in a 4 person game, and having too many of this effect left me with dead cards too many times.

Blinkin' Targets!

What do we want? Value! When do we want it? NOW! This section is for cards beyond your simple mana rock, which are ammazing blink targets! But they're kinda boring and so I won't be talking about them. Just remember that you can use things like sol ring in your first main phase, then blink it so it comes in tapped and then use it again in main phase 2.

Basalt Monolith - But wait, I thought no mana rocks?? Yes yes, I did say that. But this is a beast of a card in this deck. The downside is all but eliminated by the ability to blink it back in untapped, letting us utilize this card for more than it's worth. Absolutely must have.

Contagion Clasp - Just such a nasty card. Put a neg 1 counter on one thing for two, then you can proliferate for 4! On a turn with nothing else to do with our mana, we could proliferate, blink this, put a neg 1 counter on something else and then proliferate again! (Which will be very possible thanks to the plethora of mana rocks we are running!)

Mana Vault - I picked this up when the price dropped to around 20 bucks when they reprinted it. Man, what a crazy card!! This is essentially a better sol ring in this deck when you have Brago making contact with people.

Spine of Ish Sah - An artifact with a meteor golem effect that needs to be exiled or it just comes back to your hand. Disgusting.

Archaeomancer - This card is so damn spicy it'll blow your hair back! Get one of your spells back?? Are you kidding me?? You can just keep getting back counterspells and ruin your opponents' sanity. So many potential uses.

Charming Prince - This is my most recent addition and I haven't actually played with him yet, but he seems like he could be fun/interesting so I squeezed him in for a tryout. I like the versatility of the blink effects he could have. And the potential for some gilded drake shenanigans

Deadeye Navigator - Lowkey one of the best cards in this deck. It can add a nice layer of protection to your commander for example, protecting him from spot removal. It can also make any of your creatures that are potential blink targets blinkable without Brago, for only 2 mana! Imagine soulbonding with Rishadan Footpad and blinking him 5 times in 1 turn. Freakin certified threat right here.

Gilded Drake - This is a card I found in a shoebox of old cards back when it was less than 20 bucks. I shoved it in this deck not knowing how he would do and man, this is one really fun card!! Venser, Shaper Savant, Venser the Sojourner, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Charming Prince, even Reflector Mage can result in some serious shenanigans. Steal a creature when you play the Drake, bounce the Drake back with any of the cards above, then rinse and repeat!
