"Invincible is just a word"

An EDH deck built around Kytheon, Hero of Akros   / Gideon, Battle-Forged

I initially had a lot of trouble with this deck. Kytheon seemed to want a fast deck that flipped him on turn three with raise the alarm or the like - and I managed to build a deck that could consistently make that happen - but this inevitably made me the biggest threat at the table and the first to be destroyed. Obviously Gideon needed a slightly different strategy.

So I focussed instead on his indestructibility and the ability to give it to another creature. Turns out indestructible Magus of the Disk can hold down the board quite well. The rest of the deck came out of that discovery. Indestructibility and repeatable board wipes where possible.

My favorite win was with a Cloudchaser kestrel equipped with Darksteel Plate and Worldslayer . Both opponents conceded.

So here's a run down of the combos

Soul of New Phyrexia + Deck

Magus of the Disk + indestructible -> Darksteel Plate Gift of Immortality

Frontline Medic + Worldslayer ( Frontline Medic + Heliod, God of the Sun + Magus of the Disk are also nice.)

Armageddon + Faith's Reward .

The deck also has a minor tap theme and flicker theme. Stormfront Riders provides as much flicker as you have mana by returning itself to your hand. This can be used with Myojin of Cleansing Fire for a board wipe every other turn or so
