The goal of this deck is to slam some fatties and kick some butt. You may ask: but how but how! If so you clearly haven't looked at the decklist. That's okay though. I'll show you my card choices. Steel Leaf Champion, Nullhide Ferox, Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Leatherback Baloth are your main beaters. They can deal a lot of damage if left unchecked for even 1 or 2 turns. Sometimes they can't even kill your Nullhide Ferox if you powered it out in turn 2 or 3. In order to slam our huge creatures early, we play 4xUtopia Sprawl and 4xArbor Elf. This enables the turn 2 ferox, and allows a pretty consistent turn 2 beater, whether it's Steel Leaf Champion or Leatherback Baloth. Then we have our +1/+1 package. 4xAvatar of the Resolute, Strangleroot Geist and 2 MAINDECK Scavenging Ooze. Strangleroot Geist is a fine creature on it's own. 2 mana 2/1 with haste? Pretty good. But when you throw in the undying it becomes an excellent resilient threat. The mainboard Scavenging Ooze is to hate on goof and snappy. It is also a pretty good beater and life gain engine. But Avatar of the Resolute is the real payoff for the entire package. On rate, Avatar of the Resolute is a 2 mana 3/2 with vigilance and reach. That's amazing. Then if you get 1 or 2 counters on it, then avatar becomes a powerhouse. A 2 mana 4/3 with upside? Sign me up! Then we have some random other inclusions that don't fit into any category. Rancor is really good on pretty much anything. Any creature can hold a rancor well, but few do it better than Leatherback Baloth or Steel Leaf Champion. Despite the nombo with Nullhide Ferox I think Rancor is a solid inclusion. Next up we have Dryad Militant. This card is really good against Snapcaster Mage and Lingering Souls, while the floor is a 1 mana 2/1. This card can also hold an early Rancor really well. That's my deck!
