This deck started out as a basic Chandra Tribal deck, built by my brother and given to me for my birthday. It originally had more of a spellflinger focus, and some other such cards that fit the whole Chandra theme. Before breaking it out against the people at my table though, I wanted to see just how much damage I could do before running out of steam.

Using the playtesting feature on the site, I discovered that while I could pump out consistent damage, it often didn't seem like enough to close out a multiplayer game. My planeswalkers were largely unprotected, and apart from the instants and sorceries they wound up being my main source of damage.

To remedy that, I tweaked the deck into something a bit more... sinister. More punishing.

Now my opponents will have to slog through their own tapped creatures, nonbasic lands burning them from the ground up, and a guerrilla army of orcs dropping from the canyon cliffs to ambush anyone bold enough to attack my planeswalkers directly.

I've honed the list of instants and sorceries to those that have the biggest impact for the smallest price, and made sure that I have ways of casting them multiple times throughout the course of the game.

With cards like Flowstone Slide and Soul-Scar Mage , creatures with hexproof or indestructible will burn just as easily as the rest; and Kumano, Master Yamabushi will make sure they can't come back for more.

The Chandras included are great at pumping out damage turn after turn, but they also work to generate card advantage when you inevitably hit your stride and enter topdeck mode. And when you DO finally hit terminal velocity, your opponents won't be able to attack you at all thanks to Ensnaring Bridge .

In all, I'm happy with the pillow fort I've created; and I look forward to burning the house down around me with everyone else in it.
