Izzet the Real Life or Izzet Just Fantasy?

Commander / EDH* Aggro Combo UR (Izzet)

Broliver

Why did I build this? It's extremely fun to play. You just wheel and draw cards all game.

It's a spell-slinger deck that wins by either: 1) casting Timmy/'big' spells" that result in you casting the whole deck and/or the graveyard (Epic Experiment, Mizzix's Mastery, Spellweaver Volute and Past in Flames come to mind with Sphinx-Bone Wand); or 2) punching people with Izzet-to-win-it creatures that have synergy with the spells that I'm playing. I also have a bit of a token subtheme because there are some sweet generators off of spell-slinging! It's a non-infinite storm deck for the most part; you really just try and jimmy together big turns and flashy plays to win. (There are a few potential infinites but they aren't that easy to pull off; and the deck wins just fine without using infinites).

I just like playing with the Theros gods. I chose Keranos, God of Storms as my Commander because it draws less aggro than the other potential Izzet generals in the deck.

The deck is resistant to artifact hate (which is getting more common nowadays) and non-basic land hate (I play a lot of basics).

Key Combos:

Eye of the Storm + Spellshift lets you continue to cast the stack under Eye of the Storm equal to the amount of spells left in the deck (by 'infinitely Spellshifting' your own spells on the stack through Eye). This requires you to be able to cast an instant or sorcery before you Spellshift with Eye out. Eventually, you'll probably get Ignite Memories along with other Burn spells to win.

Eye of the Storm + Knowledge Exploitation lets you cast the stack under Eye equal to the amount of spells in your opponent's decks. This is also fun. Works wonders if you can somehow get Burn or permanent Bounce underneath the Eye.

You can probably tell that Spellshift will end up hit Knowledge Exploitation. That's when your opponents realize your dastardly plan.

Reiterate + Turnabout can potentially net an infinite amount of mana and an infinite amount of storm count; but this requires a lot of land on the table. There are storm cards that allow you to make use of this.

It's easy to execute any of these combo setups based on the amount of draw, sifting and looting in the deck. However, combos are not the emphasis of the deck. It's really about being a Johnny/Timmy without Spiking too hard. You can pretty much win however you want in this deck: whether it is an aggro strategy or through a combo. The deck does both plans pretty effectively. The deck is built to engineer big turns.
