The deck relies on Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit,
Consul's Lieutenant
, Spear of Heliod and Citadel Siege to pump the weenies to be real threats. The deck can go wide, but doesn't need to making it very playable against mass removal.
Each creature is very important to the board state so cards like Gods Willing, Valorous Stance, and
Acolyte's Reward
keep them from being killed.
Knight of the White Orchid is beautiful - can fix not drawing lands, or even ramp. First strike is very relevant too. May want to side this out when on the play.
Kytheon, Hero of Akros
as a 2/1 with the possibility of being indestructible will help win the game even if he doesn't flip, but if he does he can win games by himself. Note that the tokens created by Brimaz, King of Oreskos won't flip as the creature has to be declared as an attacker for the trigger to go off, and the token created is just "tapped and attacking."
Siding in
Hushwing Gryff
can really screw over some decks, but this will also make Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit essentially useless. Side boarding out some, if not all in this case is a good idea.
Secure the Wastes can really hurt decks that need to board wipe, or go toe to toe with token decks.
Celestial Flare
stops hexproof creatures and Stormbreath Dragon. This can be cast at the End of Combat step, after creatures have been removed from the battlefield during Combat Damage step, so it's not incredibly hard to hit the target you need to.
Hallowed Moonlight just crushes Collected Company, Rally the Ancestors,
Deathmist Raptor
or really any deck that relies on dumping creatures from their deck/graveyard in play. Also any token straegies, such as Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Monastery Mentor and etc are stopped from any shenanigans for one turn. This cantrips as well so keep that in mind if it's a dead draw.
Maybeboard is basically sideboard options depending on your meta. With the recent domination of red at the last Pro Tour, these are definitely worth looking at.
