Kaalia's lore is found in two parts: first read this one and then this one.

As a Timmy/Spike player, there's nothing that makes me quite as happy as playing a deck that is both explosively powerful and (somewhat) resilient while still being a blast to play. Fortunately for me, this particular Kaalia deck does almost all of that. Depending on the hand, I can play a big opening with Kaalia or I can start with stopping their deck and then stabilizing to play Kaalia or my other creatures later.

This deck is my baby. It's the first real deck I made and it's the one I really learned how to play magic with. I learned all the ins and outs of deckbuilding with this deck. I decided what goes in and what stays out. I've been playing it for about three years now. There have been about a billion list changes, a billion games played, many times I've pulled it apart and reworked the mana base because it just wasn't working, it's been overhauled at least twice, and I still haven't gotten sick of it yet. I really love this deck.

Please keep in mind that this is a Duel Commander deck - it is meant to come out of the gate quickly and overwhelm one opponent before they can do anything. Duel Commander also uses slightly different rules and has a different banlist than regular EDH. Please don't tell me Griselbrand is banned, because he's not.
