First and foremost, I would like to announce that my group uses this 1v1 banlist:

Alright, onward.

The entire point of this deck, is to sacrifice Yosei, tap out your opponent, and reanimate him. Of course, there are other things you can do in the meantime if you happen to not draw any way to pull Yosei back from the graveyard.

Early cards like Land Tax and Endless Horizons ensure that you have the lands in order to keep up with other decks. Along with Extraplanar Lens, many times you can cast Yosei turn 3 or 4 depending on if you have mana acceleration or not.

Once you have Yosei out, your goal is to swing in with him as possible to get general damage, or damage in general (pun intended), then use one of the many sac outlets such as High Market, Miren, the Moaning Well, Carnage Altar , Claws of Gix, etc. to put Yosei into your graveyard. At this point you can tap 5 permanents your opponent controls, and they skip their untap step. You then have to determine if you want to leave Yosei in the graveyard, or send him to the command zone. This is entirely dependent on whether or not you have a reanimate spell. Things like Resurrection, Breath of Life, Cauldron of Souls are all good. Your best reanimation spells are Lifeline and Nim Deathmantle. This is because if there are any creatures other than Yosei out on the battlefield at all, Yosei will automatically come back, and your opponent can't untap. If you have the mana, you can pay for Nim Deathmantle, and essentially reanimate Yosei every time, and keep your opponent permanently tapped out.

This deck plays a controlling role in mono white. So you have many global wipes such as Planar Cleansing , Akroma's Vengeance, and Wrath of God. Oh, and all of the global wipes benefit you by allowing you to kill Yosei, AND all of your opponents creatures/artifacts/enchantments/whatever.

If you have any questions on piloting this deck, don't hesitate to ask!

For a quick matchup reference, this deck wins against almost everything. Have fun!
