It's RDW meets hatebears, it's really cool ok? ok. Anyways, I really dig Eidolon of the Great Revel and how it kind of represents card advantage in a way as your opponent is probably going to take a shock to get rid of it, and how it easily just eats at your opponents life if your applying pressure and they don't have an answer. So I decided to try and build a deck around it, and cards like it.
I first noticed that if you were to get one trigger off of Ash Zealot, you would basically two for one the opponent with a bolt to the dome and a solid creature. In addition to just being a great tempo creature. I noticed that these cards were hate cards, so i decided to employ the most effective red hatebear of all Magus of the Moon; who can single handedly shut down a game if he doesn't eat a bolt that is, but note if an opponent is forced to remove magus, their bolt isn't targeting the eidolon, thus securing me that spicy card advantage i was talking about earlier. Fullminator Mage, while not having great synergy with Magus of the Moon offers another way of limiting my opponents options while simultaneously applying pressure.
And how about some meat and potatoes to go with those greens? Boros Reckoner is another one of those cards that offers up really bad exchanges for my opponents and spicy card advantage. All of these creatures are also really great to Aether Vial in so i included three.
Grim Lavamancer will two for one my opponents if left unchecked, and Goblin Guide and Lightning Bolt where auto-includes. Searing Blaze is good.
Since this is basically red hatebears i took a long time looking for a red four drop to be my Restoration Angel, however I could not find a card to fill that void inside my heart. But red bob Chandra, Pyromaster is still a really great card that i'm happy to include.
Basic sideboard is basic. Other cool hate cards like Vexing Shusher and Stigma Lasher make a cameo along with additional Fulminator Mages.
