Izzet Time To Storm Off Yet?! - *Most efficient*

Modern Burn Combo Competitive Storm UR (Izzet)

DrFkingPepper

Sideboard

The deck list is a mash-up of much of the top 8 deck lists with my own spin and card numbers. It was created after a lot of play testing to suit my needs and playstyle. The amount of cantrips and mana gens allows you to dig far enough and efficiently enough into your deck, with a semi decent hand, you can still 'god draw'' a kill shot on turn 3. Mostly combo's out on turn 4-5

Check out the other one here> Mono-Red(ish) Grapeshot Storm

I have hit for 85 on turn 2 with this deck. At that point your opponent can't overload a Counterflux which is amazing. (it started as P-ritual, manamorphose, goblin, D-ritual, ascension, P-ritual, D-ritual.. hehe)

The idea is basically cantrip to victory. Draw and discard card and end with Grape Shot

Aim to hit mostly blue mana with Manamorphose and also cast all of your spells for flashback with Past in Flames - Always Thought Scour yourself for flashback reasons!

If you're gonna run this deck i seriously suggest you count your mana properly using colour-coded d20's.

Always try and open your storm with a Gitaxian Probe to see if they're holding any problems in hand.

After much play testing, i've decided that having 2 Grapeshot and 1 Empty the Warrens main deck free's me up space in the sideboard and also allows me to not be so glass cannon an weak to game one oddites like a rogue Surgical Extraction

The sideboard is pretty self explanatory:

Shatterstorm for affinity/artifact based decks.

Defense Grid For control match-ups.

Echoing Truth to bounce any problems like Leyline of Sanctity or Rest in Peace

Lightning Bolt to deal with problem creatures and tempo decks.

Torpor Orb to deal with creatures such as Deceiver Exarch/Snapcaster Mage and other on ETB effects.

Anger of the Gods - To deal with pumped tokens

Pithing Needle - TO hate on anything you don't like, such as planeswalkers, birthing pod, cranial plating...

But wait?! where's the Blood Moon?! well.. i dont want or need them. In the past they've also hindered my own mana base when cantripping.. Blue mana is a hard to come by source!

A quick note; Wild Guess and Desperate Ravings are both in my opinion, strictly worse than Faithless Looting - FL allows you to choose the cards you're binning, and allows flashback to be done via red mana, which is far easier to come by. Throwing away two cards can sometimes feel like it's bad, but a lot of the time it's better as like Thought Scour it adds more targets for Ascension triggers.

I've also opted for 3 Ascensions rather than the full 4 as i found myself too often cantripping into redundant copies. eurgh. notyvm.

one last thing.. Don't forget your Goblin Electromancer's can attack too!!!

If you like this deck and the alterations i've made to many of the top 8'ing deck list (which i think are naff in comaprson, but hey oh, each to their own meta) then please upvote! :D
