Zidawn A good question! When I initially designed the deck I was intentionally steering clear of the more meta Korvold decks and focusing more on victories through fun (and occasionally convoluted) methods, but those decks are certainly meta for a reason and it could be interesting to integrate some ideas and combos from those! I deliberately did not include Food Chain + Squee, the Immortal in this deck but it’s a tried and true method of pumping Korvold to ridiculous amounts of damage very quickly and you could easily swap out other cards to make room for the combo. (For example, I’ll be removing Yawgmoth, Thran Physician later this week to do some testing with the new Strixhaven cards!). I’d also had a focus on keeping the cost fairly reasonable for the deck but if you have no reservations on spending then you could certainly find higher value lands for the mana base as well! The deck functions well in my usual playgroups but I could definitely see room for improvement if you wanted to run it in a more hardcore group or even a tournament. I’ll be making some changes to the deck over the next couple weeks as I experiment with the Strixhaven set, and if I come up with any other ideas I’ll let you know!

Wouldn't Food Chain + Squee, the Immortal not trigger Korvold though, because of Food Chain exiling Squee, the Immortal as opposed to sacrificing him?
