Wren's Run Vanquisher

Creature — Elf Warrior

As an additional cost to cast Wren's Run Vanquisher, reveal an Elf card from your hand or pay .

Deathtouch (Any amount of damage this deals to a creature is enough to destroy it.)

wallisface goodmorning , I was trying to build an aggro deck that could somewhat also defend the creatures or Just replace effectively the low cost creatures: the "win condition" here on turn 4 Is to drop a busted joraga warcaller with hardened scales or with Just extra counters tò It. For now In trying elves and Warrior for joraga + bramblewood paragon , i know its missing something creature wise , like Wren's Run Vanquisher feels like a filling that could've been a Better creature for the strategy , its Just that i cant find this creature ahah i could try to Just add Metallic Mimic or to try another build with . Metallic Mimic instead of bramblewood

By the way thank you for your thoughts , i Always appreciate

BotaNickill Hello! then i'm waiting to see your deck and take inspiration :P By the way I thought of Bramblewood Paragon as the main +1+1 engine and it works only for warriors. Gala Greeters would've been a perfect addiction but sadly its a druid . Maybe I can try it out instead of Wren's Run Vanquisher because the card is really good for this idea... What do you think?

Hmmm... is it fair to say that the bulk of your creatures are warriors? By my count, exactly half are. Pumping up some of your guys is definitely nice, don't get me wrong, but the trample is also a bit of a whiff considering the Troll and Pelt Collector already have or get it.

Paragon is a very strong card, but I can't help but wonder if something like Dwynen's Elite would perform better since it provides two bodies to interact with Elvish Champion and Warmaster. Talara's Battalion is also an intriguing possibility with the eight one-drops and the potential to play Endurance for no mana - not to mention the ability to just ignore their restriction when you find one with Collected Company. The same can be said for Wren's Run Vanquisher, who hardly has any drawback at all for her inflated stats. Just some ideas!

I would replace Wren's Run Vanquisher with Dwynen's Elite, which pairs very nicely with Heritage Druid.

You can also play fewer lands so you can bump up Ezuri to 4-of

Elvish Clancaller would be a strict upgrade over Bramblewood Paragon. Wren's Run Vanquisher should be replaced with Elvish Champion.

My concern for running more than 2 Planeswalkers is that I really don't have a lot of ways to protect them.Vivien Reid takes 4 turns to ult and will very likely be targeted quickly. Additionally, it costs 5, and doesn't contribute to reducing my commander's cmc.

I added Wren's Run Vanquisher for a couple of reasons. 1. Elf Synergy 2. Playing it is like playing an additional forest for my commander's sake (costs 2, but has a 3 power) 3. Deathtouch, which doesn't synergize well, but would maybe deter an opponent from just swinging in with something. Additionally, with all of the elf synergy, I can't help but think this 3/3 will be closer to a 5/5 or 6/6+ the majority of the time.

I looked a bit for some additional elves that could provide support. What do you think of Gaea's Herald or Wood Elves?

What do you think of replacing Emerald Medallion with Herald's Horn? Costs 1 more for the same effect, but adds card draw potential.

Don't take out Vivein reid, she is good for your deck and against the meta.

Skullclamp is great, add that back in as well.

Wren's Run Vanquisher seems weak, no synergy aside from being an elf. Deathtouch is whatever, especially in this build with no way to abuse it. Replace for skullclamp

Cut return to earth for Vivein. Its more expensive, but much more flexible.

Why not cut mossdiamond for another elf? Idk what 1-2 mana elves you are missing at the moment, but can find some if you agree. Having another elf replace it adds more synergy, but makes you more prone to wipes (which I think is a fair trade off). Putting your eggs into 1 basket and going all out is what this deck does anyways, so why not push the envelope a little more?

I'm liking most of the changes you made. Maybe add one more forest but you could be fine. Try playtesting this against your group and let us know how the changes went. Idk what the power level of your group is. If it is anything like how this deck was in the begining, you will have a MUCH greater advantage over them given these edits.

ADD: Cold-Eyed Selkie Heroic Intervention Wood Elves Kamahl, Fist of Krosa Fierce Empath Song of the Dryads Bane of Progress Tishana, Voice of Thunder Natural Order Coat of Arms Hinterland Harbor Craterhoof Behemoth

CUT: Day of the Dragons Unified Will Wrap in Vigor Oakhame Adversary Wren's Run Vanquisher The Great Aurora Presence of Gond

After looking over your list I've picked out some cards that I would cut if it were my deck, but if you like them then play them anyways. You definitely need more win cons so I've suggested some cards that will allow you to convert your board advantage into a win. Craterhoof would find a home in this deck for certain but if that isn't your style then maybe Coat of Arms might be more your thing. Tishana, Voice of Thunder would also be a really good addition to this deck with all the card advantage she provides and the no maximum hand size is always nice. Also I suggested Song of the Dryads as good removal but also as a cute little way to give your opponent a Forest to use all your Forestwalk abilities. If you have any questions about any of the suggestions or cuts feel free to ask.
