Hey, good budget version of Niv.

Ophidian Eye is another combo enchantment to enchant Niv with. Consider cutting Curse of the Bloody Tome for Eye? With the difficult color casting cost of Niv and the less than ideal color fixing in the manabase consider Chromatic Lantern? To stay within the budget consider cutting That Which Was Taken for Lantern?

To help with color fixing in the manabase there's some budget lands to consider adding. Sulfur Falls, Shivan Reef, Wandering Fumarole, Ash Barrens, Grixis Panorama. These lands can help game play a lot more than $9 Caged Sun can. To stay within budget consider cutting Sun for these lands?

Evolve is not a very good mechanic in Commander because you want to consistently cast an Evolve creature early game to evolve as you cast other creatures. Consistently you're not going to have an Evolve creature to cast early and playing one mid/late game is not doing much. Evolve is a mechanic that benefits much with having 4x of same creatures in a deck which is not Commander. Consider cutting some creatures for a few more draw spells? Brainstorm, Opt, Frantic Search, Faithless Looting are budget good draw spells. Consider cutting Cloudfin Raptor, Simic Fluxmage, Petrahydrox, Ral's Staticaster for these draw spells?

Izzet colors at a budget are at a disadvantage for tutors, but there's some good cards that can copy an opponents tutor when cast letting you also tutor. Expansion / Explosion, Reverberate, Dualcaster Mage. These spells could also copy your own spell when you cast it. Consider cutting Wave of Indifference, Sundering Stroke and Reckless Air Strike for these copy spells? Talisman of Creativity and Izzet Signet are good budget two drop mana rocks. They could replace Heraldic Banner and Spinning Wheel.

In Commander you have access to good budget counterspells that don't have a restriction: Counterspell, Wizard's Retort, Arcane Denial. These counterspells could replace Scatter Arc, No Escape, Mystical Dispute.

I LOVE this deck! Lol we both have pirate decks with “Booty” in the name. If you are interested check mine out here.

My theme, while also pirates, only focuses on the pirates with ETB effects since they synergize better with Marchesa. I really wanted to use Beckett Brass which is who I started out as with commander but I couldn’t make the deck play well enough. I like your build a lot more than what I had when I was using BB. Just some thoughts to help make your pirates more elusive: Panic Attack , Outmaneuver , Wave of Indifference , Nemesis Mask , and Breaker of Armies type effects should work pretty well. Obviously a card like Panic Attack isn’t great but just trying to suggest something different. In the vein of Coat of Arms there is also Shared Animosity . Kindred Discovery is great draw for a deck like this too!

Arcane Adaptation or Conspiracy will help you keep your tribal theme as far as creatures go.

If you want things to help trigger the "unblocked pirates" part of BB's abilities I would recommend Demoralize, Wave of Indifference, Panic Attack, Outmaneuver and Bedlam.

For another wincon you'll definitely want a Mechanized Production.

Deadeye Navigator could go well with Prosperous Pirates or any of the others that produce treasures when the enter the battlefield.

I love the pirate tribal! +1 I run my pirate deck with Marchesa as commander.

Rando sorcery suggestions. I'm not sure if mechanics work the way I assume, so some of these may be worse or better than I initially assumed. Press into Service, Chandra's Ignition, Seize the Day, Rekindled Flame, Panic Attack, Make Mischief, Heat Shimmer, Harness by Force, Wave of Indifference, Firestorm, Assault Strobe, Collective Defiance, Needle Drop, Aleatory.

The most OP cards you can pair with Krenko are: anything that untaps him.

Thornbite Staff goes infinite with any sac engine.

Sword of the Paruns goes infinite with any sac-for-mana engine.

If infinite's not your style (I used to play Krenko, and I discovered that it wasn't my style - I always felt like I'd robbed everyone of a good game whenever I went infinite), there are other options.

Magewright's Stone is outstanding. Thousand-Year Elixir is better. Rings of Brighthearth is best of all. Illusionist's Bracers are a poor substitute, but still phenomenal.

I would make your goblins' power your top priority: Goblin Pyromancer is actually really good, if your board has haste. Shared Animosity is going to be Coat of Arms one day when it grows up, and both belong in Krenko decks.

I wouldn't worry so much about stuff like Wave of Indifference or Stun - just let the dudes get blocked, they're super expendable.

I feel like you probably wouldn't want to dilute your main strategy of playing huge creatures by adding too many support cards. Giving everyone trample but having no hydras to punch with is no fun. I think that between five and seven is a pretty good number, as you should draw at least one most games but not end up stuck with too many. Personally I wouldn't count Garruk Wildspeaker, though, since he has to survive an entire turn just to do it once, and can only do it once every five turns maximum, even if your opponents generously leave him alone.

With that said there's a few more ways to get damage through that you might want to consider if you find that your opponents often have too much blocking ability.

Siege Behemoth and Predatory Focus are basically super-trample. Your creatures will still take damage and you could play Dolmen Gate to mitigate this, of course, but your creatures tend to be huge anyway so it probably won't be necessary.

One fun card is Hydra Omnivore, which lets you choose the opponent with the weakest defence to attack, but deal damage to everyone regardless. It has no specific synergy with your general, but can sometimes be an instant win with Xenagos, God of Revels and a weakened opponent or something to give it trample.

There's also plenty of cards in red that just flat out prevent your enemies from blocking, like Barrage of Boulders, which also clears tokens, Destructive Tampering, which can also remove annoying artefacts, Seismic Elemental, which is also another beater, Tectonic Rift, which is probably an upgrade to your Stone Rain even with the cost increase, or Wave of Indifference, which works well with your commander.

On a different topic, Omnath, Locus of Mana is also kind of borderline for your budget, but especially if he's out early he lets you stockpile excess mana between casting fatties. Unfortunately, Rosheen's is colourless and can't be stored.

A Temur ramp deck with Rosheen and Kruphix, God of Horizons would be interesting...

Another ramp option is Animist's Awakening, which should do well with Rosheen.

Speaking of X spells, I'm very surprised not to see Genesis Hydra on the list. Enshrined Memories may also be a solid draw card.

Finally, a very good card to play with all your big tramplers is Bow of Nylea, because of how deathtouch and trample interact. Basically each enemy creature will only be able to block a single point of damage. It also has utility uses and if you are out of cards at least lets you use your mana to grow your creatures a bit each turn.
