Watchful Naga

Creature — Naga Wizard

You may exert Watchful Naga as it attacks, When you do, draw a card. (An exerted creature won't untap during your next untap step.)

I would say, if you are going for a budget Exert deck, you should focus on more exert lords, as well as some more efficient exert creatures themselves. In addition, untap effects may be important. Cards like Glory-Bound Initiate, Khenra Scrapper, and even Glorybringer could make for a good aggro deck. I would personally drop blue and add white, as a Naya colored deck would go well here. Resolute Survivors, Vizier of the True, and Watchful Naga are some of my favourites. For untap effects, I would recommend Dauntless Aven, Prepare and the like, along with others.

Cool Deck! Personally, I don't like Watchful Naga. The ability that it only attacks as a 2/2 is really bad, seeing as it can't attack until turn 4. I've been in multiple situations where I never use it, or end up just sending it on a suicide missionto draw a card.I like Gust Walker a lot better in this deck. Unlike the naga, it can have flying, a form of evasion, plus is a 2/2 for 2 mana, rather than 3. Also, I would up it to a full playset of Always Watching . The card is just phenomenal with exert. Overall, I really like the deck. +1 from me!

Hello planeswalker!I find that Watchful Naga will just net you one card and most-likely die. Maybe have something else to draw? Hunter's Insight maybe?

I would replace Chitinous Cloak with Tenza, Godo's Maul

You also have alot of ramp/mana and not that many 5+ casting cost. Here are a few cards I would consider:

Just as a side note, Gideon of the Trials and Kytheon, Hero of Akros  Flip planeswalker flip side are both "gideon" and cannot exist together.

I can definitely see where you are going with this deck. My first Deck ever was almost exactly like this one. If you are looking to exert creatures such as Bitterblade Warrior,Emberhorn Minotaur, and Watchful Naga, I would definitely suggest using a Battlefield Scavenger to get some card draw out of those exerts. Using other exert cards like Ahn-Crop Crasher, will help get big blockers out of the way. For my Amonkhet Prerelease, I went red-green exert and found Synchronized Strike to be one of the key cards in the deck because of its untap ability. I really like this deck and can see a lot of potential in it

OK this deck needs a lot of tweaks to get it to work.

These are some of the issues:

This deck has possibilities, that's for sure. It just needs to be more consistent.

Watchful Naga for card draw

Silkweaver Elite has draw on a revolt condition

Armorcraft Judge has draw on entry but it's only for +1/+1s

Byway Courier has investigate on death (something with revolt conditions?)

Wild Wanderer fetches lands on entry

Vizier of the Menagerie can cast from your topdeck

Glorybringer is just way too good to not run. Especially when you're already running 2x Arlinn Kord  Flip and 4x Always Watching . The Nissa and Gideons are too cute and don't really have a lot of synergy with the rest of the exert deck. Also, I'm not sure what the 4x Thraben Inspector are doing. 4x Watchful Naga is plenty. If you still want more card draw, using Blossoming Defense to protect the nagas, initiates, and champions would make this deck more consistent.
