I am a bit fed up with Zombie Minotaurs not having any

I mean Neheb, the Eternal LOSES after being transformed from Neheb, the Worthy ? Please.

Get a clue from Warchanter of Mogis

That clip of Lili in battle was almost a direct rip off of the first Dead Island trailer.

It was cool, but they even plagiarised the part with a child dying in reverse.

This is the last expansion set I'm planning to play at prerelease. I'm glad to go out on a Planeswalker high.

Also pleased to see Fblthp get their own card.

Warchanter of Mogis might be good for lategame pushing. In response to its inspired ability triggering when it untaps, have it crew one of your Vehicles and give it intimidate.

Mobile Garrison is super good for leaving up blockers and triggers untap abilities (a la Servant of Tymaret). It's also got great stats for its cost.

Anaba Ancestor seems really bad- it doesnt get any real benefit from your commander because you have to not attack with it to maintain its ability, or its just a 2 mana 1/1. Plus, on board +1/+1 just is not a very powerful effect, even if repeatable.

Similarly, Flurry of Horns seems underwhelming. You have to get up to 5 mana, and then you get two vanilla 2/3s. This is the top end of your curve, and still does very little for you. Anything that is five or more mana should be really powerful. Thus, the cards that I feel are too expensive for their effect are: Flurry of Horns, Master of Cruelties, Warchanter of Mogis, Behold the Beyond (what three cards would you tutor for after spending 7 mana? There really isnt any way to use this to help you win- it can be a lot of value, sure, but youre probably off with either straight up draw or cheaper tutors to get your draw), Minotaur Aggressor, and then replace Plague Wind with In Garruk's Wake, at least. It is almost strictly better.

This deck seems like it could make use of a Whip of Erebos, if only for the life gain. You have a lot of pain effects, and Whip of Erebos is a very powerful artifact with both utility and circumstantial advantage.

A lot of your card draw comes from one time sorceries or Costly Plunder. It feels like this deck could use some more repeatable card draw, like Greed or Erebos, God of the Dead, or even some of the red psuedo draw like Outpost Siege and Chandra, Torch of Defiance. You may also want Phyrexian Arena, but you dont get to choose whether to draw that card. Other good cards for card advantage: Commune with Lava, Oracle's Vault, Stromkirk Occultist, Chandra, Flamecaller (wheel), vance's blasting cannons , Arguel's Blood Fast, Conqueror's Galleon, Ob Nixilis Reignited, Tamiyo's Journal, and The Scorpion God.

Ok I g2g, but looks good! looking forward to playing this!

I have Flurry of Horns! It's even in the description.

I also used to run Warchanter of Mogis , but he always ended up costing too much for what I got out of him so I switched him out for Karplusan Minotaur.

Thanks for checking the deck out all the same; I'm considering changing up my utility cards and adding things in from my sideboard like Whip of Erebos, but I'm just not sure what to replace.

I appreciate it's not a token deck but have you considered Flurry of Horns for flavour? How about Warchanter of Mogis ??

Looks like we're wrapping up with Theros block, with Born of the Gods our pack for the 24th.

It wasn't a particularly strong pack, but it was a really fun one. We cracked a couple with the Inspired mechanic (Warchanter of Mogis and Kragma Butcher), a couple with Bestow (Nyxborn Triton and Flitterstep Eidolon--our #3), and a bunch of combat tricks (Sudden Storm, Aspect of Hydra--our #2), and Necrobite). We'd forgotten about Tribute, and it was neat to see it again on Thunder Brute.

Revoke Existence made us chuckle, because as TheDevicer pointed out the other day, there just isn't much removal in Theros block!

1st Pick went to Archetype of Courage and our rare made us smile, especially considering the one from the 23rd:

I would definitely recommend going the aggro route with minotaurs and dropping the curve with 4x Gnarled Scarhide and 4x Deathbellow Raider. Probably want to be running a full playset of Ragemonger as well. The lower curve will let you drop your lands down to probably 23. With 4 Ragemongers, you'll probably want to run 4x Kragma Warcaller as well. Rageblood Shaman is good. I would probably drop the Felhide Brawlers, Kragma Butcher, Pensive Minotaur and maybe Warchanter of Mogis. Another one to consider is Gorehorn Minotaurs for a 4-drop.
