Vigorous Charge

Instant

Kicker (White) (You may pay an additional (White) as you play this spell.)

Target creature gains trample until end of turn. Whenever that creature deals combat damage this turn, if the kicker cost was paid, you gain life equal to that damage.

So lifemtg doesn't feel like they have to pick-up my slack, here is what I managed to come up with:

  1. Given the amount of infect creatures you have, wouldn't it make more sense to run something that gives trample instead of Tainted Strike ? Is it mostly there so Atraxa can swing in if she needs to? There are three one drop instants in green that grant trample that might push your infect creature through. I was thinking Berserk , Vigorous Charge , or Unnatural Predation . Ditto, but on white cantrips that grant flying.

  2. On the stax front, due to the amount of hate Atraxa Infect draws, you might want more things that deter your opponents' from going after you such as Elephant Grass or Propaganda . Another oddball choice to that effect would be Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker . I honestly don't see Priests of Norn doing much work other than being a deterrent, so maybe that is what can get the boot.

Hopefully I answered your plight this time. I'll be mindful in the future.

oh my god this deck is boss! I saw your deck at first in the video from Seth ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfWHUFlIWV4 ) and I thought wow this deck is great! so I wanted to build a Peasant version of your deck. (Peasant is a format that's very similar to pauper but you may use 5 uncommons in total in the 75 and it has its own banlist.)

There is still work in progress but I found some really cool cards that would fit really well in the deck: Sunbond, Armadillo Cloak, Vigorous Charge and maybe Renewed Faith, Remote Farm and Radiant Fountain.

I will share my version wiht you when I finished it.

Not according to what I was told by a judge from the shop I go to kingfrankzappa. As long as you have a card that lets you add any color of your choice to your mana pool, it can be used. The color identity is based on it's play cost, not kickers or abilities. You're allowed to add any color to your mana pool as long as they are not directly that particular color.

Cards like Dawn's Reflection allow you to add two mana of any combination to your mana pool when you tap the land it enchants. It does not specify that it has to be of the type that land produces. Therefore, I can use that to pay Folk Medicine's Flashback cost. Folk Medicine's color identity is based on it's initial cost to play from hand, therefore identifying as not . The same goes for Vigorous Charge and Dryad's Caress. The kicker doesn't have anything to do with it's color identity as far as what I have been told and taught. They are, as I was taught, mono-green color and nothing more, nor less.

If you would like, this explains as I was taught.
