Vigilance

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature has vigilance. (Attacking doesn't cause it to tap.)

Each of your creatures including the Scourge do untap while attacking and before dealing damage, but they are still attacking and will still deal damage.

There aren't any effects that remove them from combat (like Gustcloak Harrier), or any effects that prevent combat damage (like Fog).

There aren't any intrinsic rules that mean untapping your creature means it is no longer attacking. Vigilance exists.

...I swore it was, but... it wasn't! So good catch, thanks! I had even commented on his deck page before.

I think maybe Vash13 changed the name of the deck when he overhauled it, and so my folder "forgot" about it.

As always, thanks for your Vigilance, Suns_Champion!

But as always I appreciate your Vigilance .

Can a creature with exert benefit from an enchantment such as Vigilance?

We have to assume he does since no part of his ability says otherwise. Of course, this means you can give him Vigilance and attack on every player's turn! Normally, you can still not attack on your turn and wait to see if you'd rather attack on an opponent's turn.

While I understand the concern around Auras I was just thinking about a few equipment/artifacts. I am not telling you to split focus at all. Like I said it is certainly doable to have an aura focused build. However because there are things that mono white Auras cannot do like Trample, Deathtouch, Hexproof/Shroud, and Haste(All of which can be pivotal when focusing on a few creatures), you may want to consider a few equipment. Also there are some Auras like Lifelink, Vigilance, Hyena Umbra, Battle Mastery, Duelist's Heritage, Flickering Ward, Empyrial Armor, Indestructibility, Cage of Hands, and Inviolability that would work very well in this build. Also Ajani's Chosen works quite well also.
