No really, "thanks" to everyone who kept telling me to take the Vectis Agents out. They really were garbage.

Meanwhile, the Thornwind Faeries with Ophidian Eye are a welcome addition.

Something about Ophidian Eye + Sigil of Sleep + Thornwind Faeries while another creature strikes with Hidden Strings was just too tempting.

Draw 2, rebound 2, damage 2? Sure, why not?

If I have Sigil of Sleep clear the field, then I don't need to pay the activation cost on the Vectis Agents, and they become 6/3 with draw and discard.

I did have the Thalakos Seer in the deck, but I have no reliable way to utilize their draw ability, so it was worth it to swap them for the Triton Shorestalker.

You're right about needing more draw power though.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

What does Vectis Agents survive blocking that Benthic Infiltrator doesn't? It cost 2 more mana to block worse. When attacking compare it to Dimir Infiltrator- 3 more mana to drop, another 2 to activate for a grand total of 1 more power.

This deck is blue and I only see the phrase "draw a card" on one enchantment. You would benefit from some form of card draw. Mulldrifter is a pauper staple that serves double duty. It's card draw when you need it and another evasive body when you can afford it.

Bummer Curiosity is uncommon. A single Last Thoughts might be fun. Thalakos Seer is great. Maybe hard to cast?

TheSurgeon, sadly uncommons aren't allowed, so both Curiosity and Invisible Stalker are out.

I will certainly use the Triton Shorestalker!! Not to replace the Vectis Agents, who have a very specific roll, but to replace the more expensive and more tricky Thalakos Seers.

The Vectis Agents do two things for this deck, one, they can block and live. Nothing else in the deck can do that. Two, they synergize with the Helm of the Ghastlord on a game-winning level. (At least, for Pauper.)

Thanks for the great find on that shorestalker though! That will save me more blue mana early on for more cipher spells.

Instead of using Vectis Agents, why not use Triton Shorestalker? It costs one blue and does the same thing. This lowers your curve and eliminates the wait on a black mana.
Curiosity might add some draw for cheap as well.
Also, I don't know if uncommons are allowed in pauper but Invisible Stalker is pretty f*ckin' handy to get around burn and removal spells. I run them in my Psychic Assault deck.
Just a few cards I thought might help you lower your curve and speed up your deck!
+1. Looks fun!
