This deck is not legal : Warping Wurm is of Simic Identity, Tsunami is of Green Identity, Spatial Binding is of Dimmir Identity and that deck is of Jeskai Identity.

That being said, the core mecanic of it seems to be a waiting game toying with phasing while stuff goes boom (Armageddon Clock, Time Bomb...), pushing opponents to forfeit by ruining their manabase or to voltron-ish out with Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker (Also, since phasing is neither a cast nor an ETB trigger, Commander's Insignia seems of poor value here).

There is a bunch of stuff that seems to have no interest whatsoever to further this deck agenda (such as Thran Lens, the Sphere of Duty and the other spheres, etc...) which could hold fairly more interesting cards instead. There is no particular synergy between the commander(s) and the deck in itself, questioning why those in specific.

It feels like the deck hopes to be annoying enough to get you to victory... I mean it's not illegal... (some even jackoff on that)... but then if that's the flavor of it, there is fairly better way to achieve that goal, so I'm wondering what's the core mecanic you intended ?

On a building note, I have a hard time believing a 3 colors deck working well with basic lands only, but I'm a heavy user of none basic, so... this deck feels like it never has been built, feels really theorical and not actually functional.

There is a bunch of stample of the phasing mecanic you missed, such as Teferi's Protection, Teferi's Isle, Out of Time... that could get great value... the combo from Hexi180 with Balancing Act if a clear finisher, since it doesn't exclude lands...

I don't comment often, I hope this will be taken in a way that helps you to possibly improve it, this has no intention to seems harsh but I know how written wordings can be. I've a good list of worked on deck and I wanted to help, I tend to try to give some "flavor" to them rather than just piling on powerful card... If you wanna chat about it and discuss more feel free to.

I periodically take the one-sided land destruction, like Flashfires and Tsunami, out of my natural disaster decks because (even though they’re EXTREMELY effective against some) I keep finding myself just holding them because I don’t want to shred just one of my opponents like that. That being said, I’ve found that I never look at planes walkers as they get released/spoiled because I really don’t like them even existing in M:tG. I’ve been convinced to use three, currently, but I never seem to enjoy those pluses/minuses. It’s an unreasonable Old Man(tm) disdain, for certain, but I really can’t get over it.

Green does actually have wraths, but they typically lean toward the eradication of artifacts / enchantments, or creatures with flying (for some dumb reason). Back to Nature, Calming Verse, Creeping Corrosion, Essence Filter, Glyph of Reincarnation if you can set it up properly, Hush, Multani's Decree, Primeval Light, Rampage of the Clans, Reverent Silence (Honestly an overpowered card in certain groups), Seeds of Innocence, Serene Heart, Tranquil Domain, Tranquil Grove (WHAT?!), ... there's more but you get the idea.

As for creature wraths, only Whirlwind.

Also Green has MLD with Tsunami. It becomes true MLD with Stormtide Leviathan in play. And with Archetype of Imagination, you've just told the entire table to go fuck themselves.

:) Because Simic gonna Simic.

But by far, my favorite wrath is Wave of Vitriol.

Predatory Dominance

Sorcery

This spell costs less to cast for each creature you control of the chosen type.

Choose a creature type. Destroy all creatures except for the those who share the chosen type. If this spell cost or more less to cast, end the turn.

How's that?

Make another wrath that doesn't hit creatures. Any other permanent type is fine. Just leave the creatures alone.

Galulolo, The Hammering Wave

Legendary Creature - Elemental Spirit

Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, destroy target basic land that player controls

: Target land becomes a basic island until end of turn

5/5

Galulolo means Tsunami in samoan, according to Google Translate, anyway. I never understood why that card was green. I mean, effect-wise, yes, but flavor-wise, no.

Make a mono-red whale.

Mark Rosewater joined Magic in 1996, from Alliances forward. This means that there are a lot of counter spells in non-blue colors that predate him joining.

Red

Artifact Blast

Pyroblast

Red Elemental Blast

Green

Avoid Fate

Lifeforce

Black

Deathgrip

Nether Void

Stromgald Cabal

Thrull Wizard

White

Equinox

Order of the Sacred Torch

There are also a handful of countering abilities in non-blue from pre-Rosewater sets

Rust

Brown Ouphe

Richard Garfield had intended colors besides blue to have access to counter spells. Garfield also built the game to have a greater focus on interactions between colors, with hosers such as Tsunami and Acid Rain being another example, or the frequent Protection from X Color cards that are rampant in the early sets. Maro has moved away from viewing the colors as interactions and relationships between colors and towards trying to define the colors in relation to themselves (a la color pie). Whether or not you agree with Garfield's vision for the game or Rosewater's, we can't ignore that Red Elemental Blast predates Rosewater even working for Wizards. Red Elemental Blast also predates Maro's theory of the color pie, which must be applied retroactively to REB.

We also have numerous examples of non-blue counter spells in sets even after Maro started designing cards or even becoming a lead set designer. I think that while counter spells and interacting with spells/abilities on the stack is primarily a blue ability, other colors need to have access to this powerful and necessary tool. While I agree that blue should be the market share, we need closer to 85-90% of counter spells printed as blue, instead of the current ~98%

Ty BTJ for this one:

Tsunami not that hard isnt it, just need derevi, aminatou, oath of teferi, another pw to untap (kiora/ral/gideon/etc) and 5 mana teferi to reset aminatou.

Checked it out an BTJ is correct, you can use this to loop Aminatou (blinking Teferi + Kiora Behemoth Beckoner) and draw your entire deck with second teferi Activation. Win with Lab Man or some random non legendary combo.

  1. I agree with the previous comment: Llanowar Elves , Elves of Deep Shadow , Deathrite Shaman , Elvish Mystic , Fyndhorn Elves , Birds of Paradise and Arbor Elf are all good enough to run. I suggest running at least four of them, if not more.

  2. Outside your enchantments, you seem rather light on card-draw. Including the Diabolic Intent from the Maybeboard would begin to solve this problem, as would running other tutors like Demonic Tutor , Diabolic Tutor , Dark Petition , etc. Other ways you can combat this are by running things like Night's Whisper , Sign in Blood and Sylvan Library . Thought that last one is expensive nowadays, you can combo it with Underrealm Lich and get three cards a turn (the replacement effect means you never actually 'draw' a card).

  3. Veil of Summer is an excellent second-order counter to include in a green deck.

  4. You may have luck with Pox / Smallpox killing your opponents' creatures. As far as I can tell, Smallpox is a lot better in that it doesn't decimate you the way Pox does (thus it's easier to build around), but Pox can be funny, too. Innocent Blood is similar.

  5. Nature's Claim is a very efficient piece of spot removal you may want to run in addition to your Krosan Grip .

  6. Depending on whether you want to be a dork (and how blue-heavy your meta is), consider Choke . Carpet of Flowers and Tsunami are similar.

  7. Windgrace's Judgment and Casualties of War are good multi-for-ones.

Good luck!

Predatory Urge or Ulvenwald Tracker would be good with Mowu's Vigilance.

Colossal Majesty , Restock , Abundance , Reclaim , Seasons Past , Wildest Dreams , Primal Command , Creeping Renaissance are additional card-draw and card-advantage cards worth considering.

Sandwurm Convergence would be useful late-game. Brooding Saurian might be a good utility piece. Homeward Path is better but $$. Verdurous Gearhulk maybe? Rhonas the Indomitable and Predator Ooze might make good blockers.

Might be a funny deck for shit like Nature's Wrath , Lifeforce , Choke , or Tsunami
