So I have been wanting to play Magic again, and this deck looks awesome. I have since ordered it and plan to take it out to FNM soon.

I was looking at Arcane cards under $2 and found Overblaze and was curious what you think of it. I'm imagining one copy to play the turn The Unspeakable swings in. It seems hilarious to me, but I wouldn't know what to take out for it.

I'm also curious about the sideboard. I was thinking 1 Aura Barbs and 1 Gaze of Adamaro.

I don't have a lot of experience or card knowledge, so just fishing for thoughts.

I would consider adding a second copy of The Unspeakable, so that you can still pull one out of your deck in case you accidentally draw one.

I am assuming you mean a modern-playable version of The Unspeakable?

The Madness

Legendary Creature - Avatar

Flying, Trample, Ward

Delve (Each card you exile from your graveyard while casting this spell pays for .)

For each card exiled from your graveyard to pay The Madness' delve cost, mill two cards.

Whenever you exile a card from your graveyard, library, or hand, mill two cards.

8 / 6

It's a powerhouse that you can get out pretty early, but if you want to make use of your graveyard for other abilities (other Delve or Flashback spells, say), then you could risk milling yourself out. Or, opponents can mill you out by exiling your graveyard. It's high-risk, high-reward, while still being the same kind of being that The Unspeakable is.

Make a permanent with the Sunburst ability that's actually playable in a format.

Hey, I'm glad you liked it! I'm from Brazil. I used to help people with their online decks back in 2017, but life got harder the last years (guess it is time to get back to this habit).

When I feel my decks aren't doing enough or are too slow, I try to revise their mana acceleration and draw packages: it usually works, unless it is a reeeally slow engine, like The Unspeakable.

Smrtlrafyr, Deceptive Scholar

Legendary Creature - Elder Spirit Horror

Flying, Trample, Hexproof

As long as you've cast a card named Sift Through Sands this turn, this card's name is considered The Unspeakable as long as it isn't on the battlefield.

Whenever ~ enters the battlefield or attacks, you may return any number of arcane cards from your graveyard to your hand.

Create a card for the sisters of Flesh and Spirit.

I know The Unspeakable is a terrible card, but it plus Reach Through Mists , Peer Through Depths and Sift Through Sands are just too perfect to not at least consider them. Pretty great with Firemind's Insight. You would have to remove Zirda as a companion, though. Also, if I recall correctly how splice works, Thousand-Year Storm should be pretty insane.

Maybe Callow Jushi ? You can build up counters pretty fast, and then lock your opponent from playing stuff for a while. Also a pretty good clock. Cunning Bandit can be S.B. tech to essentially fog creatures for a while. Ore Gorger can be an expensive SB plan against some decks to wipe their lands away, but I'm iffy on it. You can also use Goblin Electromancer to help you cast spells. Also consider Sift Through Sands and The Unspeakable in the S.B.
