I love seeing everyone's responses to this :). To me having pet cards you always try to work into a deck is a lot of the fun of deck building.

I've always really liked Spirit of the Night and Teeka's Dragon and find myself cramming them into decks whether or not they fit. They were just so impressive the first time I came across them and I've never lost that excitement for them.

I also have a few specific pieces of cardboard I'm fond of, like the Vesuvan Doppelganger my friend gave me and the Sylvan Safekeeper that I got signed by Olle Råde.

Rampage doesn't target and a copied ability has the same source as the original. Copying the Rampage ability on Teeka's Dragon gives an additional trigger to Teeka's Dragon and will not affect the token at all.

If I control two creatures, one being Teeka's Dragon and one being let's say a 3/3 angel token. I attack with teeka's dragon and the token, after blocks are declared, if the rampage trigger is met (at least 2 creatures have blocked it) is that when I can hold priority and copy the triggered ability with Strionic Resonator? And then if the token is blocked by at least 2 it gets the rampage 4 trigger?

Poor rampage. It could have been good, it just never got put on the right creatures. It really wanted something with trample and no evasion, and ideally a requirement for your opponent to block it. Somehow casting Emerald Charm to remove flying from your Teeka's Dragon with a Lure on it never caught on...

I'll throw Islandhome into the mix. It makes sense form a flavour point of view, but it never found its way onto a creature that was worth the drawback. Plus, I like how Wizards made it a keyword and then decided to scrap it.

Interesting... I think I see what you’re going for. I’m wondering what your actual win-con would be though. You’ve got a lot of ways to build mana and bring out the big bois but I don’t see what you plan on doing with them. Blightsteel Colossus is your only real “killer” here and he’s not as all-powerful as one likes to believe.

Personally, I think a great win-con this deck would be perfect for Door to Nothingness ! Take out your 2x Teeka's Dragon (not a very good card anyway) and replace them with Ramos, Dragon Engine . Also drop out your Temple of the False God and get a few City of Brass to help with generate the 5 colors. You could even splash in some straight green mana (and maybe a few Copper Myr as well) just to to run Channel the Suns .

I like what you’re doing, but there’s a lot more you could still do. Great potential though!

Why no Teeka's Dragon in the "tika masala" deck?

Thanks for stopping in with some suggestions GoblinsBeatElves. Teeka's Dragon / Dragon Mage are pretty interesting cards that might fit into the build. A lot of those however wouldn't add much to the design of the deck. The two dragons that I'd like to add to the board are Scourge of Valkas and Skyline Despot. Skyline Despot would potentially help generate dragon token swarms with Utvara and Scourge of Valkas would be a useful burn when the swarm starts developing. I'm not one hundred percent sure on what I plan on cutting which is what I'd like some input on. Thanks again for the comment and suggestions

Hmmm... Daretti’s Dragons. When I first saw this name, I didn’t think the deck would work very well, considering that most dragons do not work with artifacts. However, this actually seems like a pretty strong deck, with the artifacts doing all the cool stuff and the dragons coming in late game for lots of damage. Now, I don’t particularly like to play artifacts. I’m sure that many people do, but I just prefer creatures and spells. However, I have experience with dragons, and should be able to give you some good suggestions for that bit of the deck. I would guess that you probably want dragons that interact with artifacts, so here’s what I have for you:

Dragons that do artifact stuff: Covetous Dragon

Freejam Regent

Furnace Dragon

Hoard-Smelter Dragon

Moltensteel Dragon

Other cool dragons you could use:

Scourge of the Throne

Furyborn Hellkite

Dragon Mage

Bogardan Hellkite

Ancient Hellkite

And some more artifact dragons:

Henge Guardian

Teeka's Dragon

Clockwork Dragon

Lotus Guardian

Now, you might use a or a f these, or you might use none of them. I am just giving ideas that you COULD use. So try them out if you want, keep experimenting. Hope this helps! Good luck!
