Tandem Tactics Discussion

I'm thinking Naya zoo/stompy has the best chances here, where Zada and Mirrorwing are value engines at the top end of the curve.
Sylvan Advocate is still legal, along with Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Bloodrage Brawler, Narnam Renegade, Beastcaller Savant, Glory-Bound Initiate, Greenwheel Liberator, Hanweir Militia Captain Flip, Hidden Herbalists, Prowling Serpopard, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, Honored Crop-Captain, and Samut, Voice of Dissent as a Zada enabler...you get the grind against control by Expedite-ing or Fling-ing your board in response to shenanigans, and the combat tricks ensure you have the upper hand in any combat with midrange or aggro.
Essentially, I suggest Naya because it's able to drop a meaningful creature every turn before Zada/Mirrorwing, which is what the deck needs in order to win on T5-7. It's also got a robust enough suite of instants that you can cast responsively, such as Blossoming Defense or Tandem Tactics, to be versatile against anything the opponent does to interfere. Lastly, the zoo foundations of that deck are strong enough to be a decent matchup even if the opponent manages to neuter your two build-around cards.
I wish I had a brew for you, but I literally just came up with that. I have a deck @ One-Punch Woman (Primer) that's essentially a zoo deck with Zada as one win-con, so I have some experience with her potency. I'd be happy, however, to provide feedback on any list you brew up.

in u/w? for the most part pump spells tend to be in green or red, but there are a few
Retreat to Emeria and Collective Effort are probably the strongest, while Tenacity and Make a Stand have their uses. ill also give an honorably mention to Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun, Unconventional Tactics and Tandem Tactics from the standard non-g/r pool.

I've been on the fence about The Mage... I'll move him to sideboard for now 'cause Gods, Avacyn, and others are running around.
Gorger is played simply because a one mana 2/1 fits the game plan. I've always felt good about playing it, even if the ability isn't relevant here.
Mimic is neat. I playtested with Thalia's Lieutenant some time ago. I wasn't a fan. I'm super tempted to play Lone Rider Flip, but then I have to include some lifegain/tricks like Tandem Tactics. If I do include him, do you have any mainboard suggestions?

Your welcome. I love Tandem Tactics to keep my stuff alive when the opponent thinks I'll trade. Some other cards similar to this is Survive the Night, Rush of Vitality, Encircling Fissure, Ondu Rising and Tenacity.

This actually has some pretty cool ideas for a first deck.
I think you might benefit from focusing more on the noncreature spell plan than on the lifegain plan. You can certainly still have both, but having a card like Soulmender just to trigger your two copies of Sunbond seems very committal when you aren't getting other synergy out of it. If you are more interested in the lifegain plan, just let me know and I can certainly provide other suggestions.
With that in mind, some of the creatures could be swapped out for others with heroic or similar abilities. Sungrace Pegasus and Lightwalker could be replaced by Akroan Skyguard or Wingsteed Rider. Graceblade Artisan could be Tethmos High Priest or Fabled Hero. Soulmender could be Myth Realized or Favored Hoplite. Student of Ojutai could be Dawnbringer Charioteers. Nyx-Fleece Ram could be Hero of Iroas, Vanguard of Brimaz, or Monastery Mentor.
If you want to stick with the enchantment theme, you might replace the non-enchantment spells with something like Eidolon of Countless Battles, Ethereal Armor , or Daybreak Coronet. Otherwise, heroic works well with spells that have multiple targets. Some examples are Ajani's Presence, Launch the Fleet, Phalanx Formation, Blessed Alliance, Dauntless Onslaught, Shoulder to Shoulder, Tandem Tactics, Redeem, and Cauldron Haze.
Well, there's some ideas to mull over at least. Good luck with your deck man. (Oh, and by the way, card linking is done using double brackets, not double parentheses.)
