Spire Patrol

Creature — Human Soldier

When Spire Patrol enters the battlefield, tap target creature an opponent controls. That creature doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.

Replace Cloudblazer with Spire Patrol.

Maybe some angels. I like Baneslayer Angel and Akroma, Angel of Wrath. Ik you said only fliers, but Magus of the Moat is a card made for a fliers deck like this one. Mindshrieker can be great if you are getting hits in, and if you want to counter enemy fliers, I like Archetype of Imagination. Mist Raven, Skymark Roc and Spire Patrol are all creatures that I consider.

I haven't checked, are those alle the cheap fliers we have? Duskborne Skymarcher litterally benefits you nothing, beside being a flying body. And not a good one. Also you are lacking the "tempo" you are calling for in the description. Spire Patrol is a good example for a tempo card.

Whats your thoughts on Ornithopter , Hope of Ghirapur early beaters and easy on the colour cost! and Aetherstorm Roc for energy production and tapping down, Angel of Invention for even more anthemy goodness?

Spire Patrol for top end tapping down? or Kinjalli's Sunwing for slowing down other decks?

OHH i know

Open Into Wonder , its like a great way to alpha strike to close out a game perhaps.

Updated the deck again after playing some FNM....(went 4-6)

The wins all came from using my Multiform Wonder + Untethered Express + Aethersphere Harvester

Card updates:

Removed:Cogworker's Puzzleknot, Consulate Turret, Pacification Array, Pressure Point, Confiscation Coup, and Spire Patrol

Added:Cast Out, Hieroglyphic Illumination, Fumigate, Approach of the Second Sun, Censor, and Countervailing Winds.

Also added in more lands with Irrigated Farmland

I am also thinking of adding in Gideon, Martial Paragon but am a little unsure.

Now there is an additional win con with Approach of the Second Sun if it doesn't get de-spelled.

Hm. Yeah...Ulamog doesn't seem like the right choice here. Neither do most Eldrazi. Maybe Cultivator of Blades in a UGx...aggro deck?

I'm imagining something akin to UWx Flash, with lots of abusable ETB effects on small evasive bodies. Spire Patrol and Cloudblazer, for starters, with lots of self-mill like Contingency Plan, Wharf Infiltrator, and perhaps some green acceleration. Then cast creatures as normal, letting them die to the ravages of combat and exhausting your opponent's resources. Then follow up by getting an Eternal Cloudblazer and an Eternal Spire Patrol, which are now 4/4 in the air with good ETB effects.

Sentient_Being actually, glimmer of genius is really important, scry 2 draw 2. although the energy part is unnecessary. also, negate goes well in any midrange, we saw temur towers playing a playset of negate last weekend and it worked (how silva won the last game)

although Mr_Rhinolicious you need some more lands, or cut down on the mana cost. instead of cloudblazer, maybe Spire Patrol, also try using Anticipate, it's much faster than glimmer, and glimmer's energy is pointless anyway.

although this means you could run Dynavolt Tower, then every instant and sorcery gets you energy, and glimmer gets more meaningful.

Try out Writ of Passage as an enchantment to get Brago through. Don't use it as an enchantment though, because you can blink out your mana rocks and get him through basically for free every turn, regardless of your opponents enchantment removal. Also, I would defiantly remove Spire Patrol. If you want another cheap effect that does the same think, use Kor Hookmaster, as it does the same thing for one less mana.
