why you play with Skyblade of the Legion?

Is this a casual deck, randomly built with modern cards, meant to be played at the kitchen table? If yes: does it play the way you want it to? if yes: Congrats, nothing to add from here, happy playing :)

If you on the other hand intend to play vampires at an fnm or something similar... say, in a meta dominated by the better class of budget decks, there are a few things that need to be changed.

As previously mentioned, there's a bunch of 1-of and 2-ofs. This makes your deck very random, and you would rather have a deck that is consistent. So, exactly what do you like the most to see on your opening hand, and why not go up to 4 of that card? Actually, pick 3 non-land cards, the best for opening the game, and bring 4 of each. You want to be sure that every game starts with something good, and 11 or 12 copies of your best starting cards bring you up to almost-certainty. Upi should cut anything costing 5 or more mana to make room for cheaper cards.

Also, check whether any of your support cards exist in a better version. Example: Impale. That one has nothing to do in any deck, since it's a slow and expensive version of Murder, which is still too slow for modern, where Fatal Push sets the standard for black removal, and various 2 cmc removal spells are considered decent alternatives (Victim of Night seems oddly on-theme, but Doom Blade and Go for the Throat could also be played). You need 4 solid pieces of removal, at the very least. and some 1 cmc targetted discard (Thoughtseize is best in the format, but Inquisition of Kozilek isn't bad either, and there's always Duress if budget is a concern).

I think you have the number of creatures pretty much right - tribal decks need a bunch of creatures, since you go for synergy between them, and it's hard to synergize anything that aren't in play at the same time. Quality of creatures... is lacking... when do you expect Skyblade of the Legion to shine, more than anything else you could bring (and that's just one card - you have a lot of underpowered creatures)?

Personally, I'd remove Anointed Deacon he's got a very high mana cost for his effect. he's essentially only a 5/3 on your turn, and a 5/3 that's a 5 cost is very steep. Bloodcrazed Paladin would be next to be removed. 2 cost for a 1/1 is not great, I try to stay away from cards that are too situational, and this would fit that mold. Paladin of the Bloodstained again, cost is high for what it does. Bishop of the Bloodstained 5 cost for a 3/2 that has an effect only when he enters the battlefield as well must go. Skyblade of the Legion could go as well, 3 cost for a 1/3, there are better options. Twilight Prophet and again, this to me feels too situational to be used. What if you encounter a manaless deck, this would be a useless effect.

When you go to cut something next, I would put Call the Bloodline on the chopping block. You used to run several vamps with Madness, but since cutting those, this card loses a lot of its luster. I know it gives you something to do with lands you don't need, but I think there are better options out there. Also, look at replacing Skyblade of the Legion and Tormented Thoughts. I know cutting cards can be tougher than finding cards to add.

Ty had some solid thoughts on FB as well.

NO ONE EXPECTS THE VAMPIRIC INQUISITION

looks like a really fun deck, tho! I'd recommend cutting the bad vampires (like Legion Conquistador, Skyblade of the Legion, Paladin of the Bloodstained, and Sadistic Skymarcher) for better and stronger vampires, like Sanctum Seeker, Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, Legion's Landing  Flip, and Forerunner of the Legion.

Interesting build. I would add a couple of 2-cost cards, for those hand where you start with a Forest and Avacyn's Pilgrim and not much else. Maybe Veteran Cathar or Skyblade of the Legion? Or some extra removal?

What is your budget for this deck? I can provide better suggestions with a budget in mind. But as it is right now, I would remove Vampire Revenant, Duskborne Skymarcher, Exultant Skymarcher, Glorifier of Dusk, Skyblade of the Legion, and probably Voracious Vampire. You definitely want a playset of Legion Lieutenant, Adanto Vanguard, and Skymarcher Aspirant. Also, go with a full playset of Dusk Legion Zealot. Again, with a budget in mind I can provide better choices.

I like your list. Skyblade of the Legion can block in early turns but I also like Duskborne Skymarcher for those 2 spots. She costs 1 less and can buff another vampire.
