Skin Shredder Discussion

it also looks like there is a link for both Skin Shredder  Flip and Skin Shedder , but the incorrectly spelled one seems to have the more relevant card information linked to it, needs to be deleted and linked to the correctly spelled version

Skin Shredder  Flip is incorrectly named / misspelled, it should be Skin Shedder . Site is also missing all the SDCC Promo printings for the amonkhet planeswalkers, Nissa, Steward of Elements etc

I think Otherworldly Outburst is interesting. All of these little creatures are going to die anyways. With Outburst, we hopefully can trade and eek out some value by getting a 3/2. I dropped two Distemper of the Blood to make room. I still like the Insolent Neonate/Skin Shredder combo.

One card I've been considering for inclusion in my main board is Spiteful Motives. Flash makes it a viable combat trick that sticks around, but played on turn 4, is it likely to be a worthwhile play? I could see playing it on a Bloodmad Vampire during combat, or a Skin Shredder, but it's hard to cut one drop tricks in RDWs for four drop tricks when they might be dead in your hand until it's too late for them to be useful. What do y'all think?

Skin Invasion  Flip has some pretty cool possibilities in your deck, with all the removal and sacrificing you can do. You can enchant an Insolent Neonate on turn 2, attack, sacrifice it, discard a Fiery Temper, draw a card, and get your Skin Shredder  Flip. I love it! I might have all the pieces for this, too.

Thank you NestorCoelho for the comment!

And to answer your question Westvale Abbey  Flip ends up flipping about 35% of the time, but consistently when needed believe it or not. When I play with someone that hasnt had the pleasure of playing my deck at my LGS I tend to play the first game focusing on pumping damage through Stormchaser Mages and Skin Shredder  Flips whilst gaining any and all card advantage through Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip, Sin Prodders, and the occasional great find off of Abbot of Keral Keeps. Through this I see some of my opponents deck while playing it safe. Games after the first almost always include Westvale Abbey  Flip being fully Mainboarded as well as the last Harness the Storm so that when I cast Dragon Fodders I have the ability to recycle their effect. More Gobs = Ormendahl, Profane Prince  Flip and the astounded looks of my opponents faces.

Obviously early game Aggro and too late while playing Burn are the decks real weaknesses. I was thinking of maybe splashing for my playset of Secure the Wastes but I dont want to rely too much on needing Ormendahl

FatherLiir on Can you Silkwrap any transformed ...

So I was looking at SOI cards and realized that none of the transformed creatures, whether Incited Rabble  Flip, Timber Shredder  Flip, Skin Shredder  Flip or Ormendahl, Profane Prince  Flip, have a converted mana cost (CMC) in their transformed state. Does this mean that their CMC is 0 And therefore can be targeted by Silkwrap?

AverageBoss,
I just now saw your earlier comment about Skin Invasion / Skin Shredder. Literally lol. Big fleas, indeed. :-D
