Don't play Karoo, Sunlit Marsh, Goldmire Bridge and The Fair Basilica.

Instead play Shambling Vent, Isolated Chapel, Caves of Koilos, Silverquill Campus, Shineshadow Snarl, Orzhov Basilica, Brightclimb Pathway  Flip, Fetid Heath.

Shaile, Dean of Radiance  Flip has no real synergy with your deck. Replace it with Bygone Bishop, which is a good Cleric

This type of decks is usually called "Aristocrats". If you really want to be a sacrifice deck, you should add additional cards that trigger whenever a creature dies, such as Sanguinary Priest, Rotlung Reanimator, Blood Artist or Cruel Celebrant.

Somehow I missed this commander during Kaldheim. I really like the idea of Orzhov spellslinger. Your build is solid.

Incarnation Technique seems like an auto include. Reanimate 2 plus a Firja trigger. Corpse Dance is the same with the guaranteed trigger.

Scroll Rack is like PB&J with that Land Tax. Helps put things in the yard that might be in your hand.

Rumor Gatherer scry and card draw are useful to the strategy.

Golgari Thug the best black dredge card for the decks theme.

Silent Clearing more draw never hurts.

Silverquill Campus expensive scry but valuable to Orzhov.

Path of Ancestry pure value.

Imp's Mischief Izzet value in mono black.

Pull from Eternity potential secret tech. Something to ponder.

Vindicate to round out the playset of the best spot removal in the game.

Rupture Spire and Transguild Promenade really trigger me. Those aren't lands you should be running in a constructed deck, even in 5 color I don't like it. Also I skimmed the list and didn't immediately see any payoff for putting lands in your graveyard. So Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds are probably not worth it. I find dual lands are generally just better fixing. Some replacements for the above lands that I prefer are: Path of Ancestry, Silverquill Campus, Waterfront District, Skybridge Towers, Fabled Passage, Thriving Moor, Thriving Isle, Thriving Heath, Celestial Colonnade, Creeping Tar Pit.

Hey, welcome to EDH! Liesa, Shroud of Dusk is such a fun commander.

First off, mana: you're probably going to want a few more lands. 36 is the usual average for a deck with average mana cost in your range. Also, there are some awesome ramp artifacts I don't see in here: Arcane Signet is a commander staple, basically the artifact version of Command Tower. Also, if you want to move out of 2 CMC mana rocks and into 3 CMC mana rocks, I recently discovered Coalition Relic and absolutely love it for the second ability.

As far as colors go, I recommend editing it a bit: Right now, only half your mana-producing cards give white mana, but >75% of the deck is white. Caves of Koilos, Goldmire Bridge, Scoured Barrens, and Silverquill Campus are all dirt-cheap dual lands you can add to help smooth that out. The remaining 6 lands could probably be Plains.

Ok so this deck is really cool, and I don't feel like dogging on it too much, but i feel like there are a ton of wasted slots here. I get the need to push damage, but isn't Ragged Veins just an awful way to kill an opponent? I do understand the usage, to flash in on a creature about to get absolutely pummeled by a Souleater. But can't you just do the same with Apostle's Blessing, Rite of Consumption, or better yet Gods Willing? Idk, it just kinda gets on my nerves. Also, if Trespassing Souleater is intended to roleplay as a lifesink, then why not just use Blood Celebrant? It's quite cheap, and can filter mana if things get hairy. Also, the lack of card draw and playsets in a combo deck really doesn't sit right with me. Possibly try to make nessessary cuts to make the deck more consistent overall. Also, for the love of god, please cut Scoured Barrens for Silverquill Campus for the long-game.

ClockworkSwordfish on Pauper Sliver Commander

This is a cool idea for a build! Flat-out permanent destruction is exceedingly rare in Pauper, so having a commander that can blow up your opponent's lands is a real treat.

I see you are running basically all of the slivers and changelings available to you, but I'm surprised that Changeling Outcast isn't represented. I'd definitely find room for him, as having cheap critters you can feed to Necrotic Sliver ASAP seems worthwhile. He could probably go in over one of the most bland creatures like Sliver Construct. Grave Scrabbler is an interesting choice for recursion, since card advantage is always nice, but seeing as you have... a few ways to discard cards, I doubt he'd be completely reliable. A card like Cadaver Imp will probably do the job more reliably.

Speaking of recursion - I feel like there are plenty of great options you're missing out on! The classic Morgue Theft gets you one creature for two mana and then another for five, but Raise the Draugr and Return from Extinction just get you two creatures for two mana! Aphetto Dredging might also be worthwhile to bring back three Vindicates at once. Of course, if you're interested in saving mana, you can skip out the middleman of replaying a creature by finding room for Unearth, seeing as about 80% of your creatures seem to be three mana or less.

One last area you might want to put a little more thought is your land base. Basic lands do the job, but I think you have room for a few nonbasics that could provide some added utility. Haunted Fengraf is another backup form of recursion. Bojuka Bog is a free swing against decks that rely on their graveyard. Silverquill Campus makes both colours and provides something to do with your mana if you've got literally nothing else going on. Finding space for some of these could make the difference in terms of having enough options late game!

MeatTornado on Angels

Hey, it's Dylan's friend, Justin. He asked me to weigh in on the list. So... Hello! The list looks very good, especially if it's your first time building a deck. Plus, Angels are always cool and fun.

If I was to offer any criticism, well, first even before I talk cards and strategy, I noticed the deck is labelled as being *Standard. It's not, but it is very close to being so. So you get to make a choice here. Do you want a deck that you could play against other people in a friendly, competitive environment or do you want just a fun deck to play casually that you wouldn't need to update? You are so close to the former, that I might just recommend that. But if you didn't want to do that, that's fine, too.

If you wanted a standard list you just need to replace the cards marked in red text. there are not many of them and some, I would recommend cutting altogether anyway. For instance, the one mana cards could go. Segovian Angel is an angel, but it's not very impactful and won't be worth the card if you draw it early or late. Soul Warden is an amazing card, but it only really excels when a lot of creatures are entering the battlefield (which your deck doesn't really support) or when cards are triggering by gaining any amount of life - Archangel of Thune is a great example of this, but your deck only has one. AND at that point, we might as well cut the non-standard cards. I would replace the Go for the Throat with Infernal Grasp and Vanishing Verse and I might go as far as playing 4 copies of each of those. I would play 4x Skyclave Cleric  Flip or Ambitious Farmhand  Flip (just to add some consistency with hitting land drops. Speaking of lands, definitely add some duals and maybe some utility lands. Emeria's Call  Flip Great Hall of Starnheim Brightclimb Pathway  Flip Scoured Barrens Shattered Sanctum Shineshadow Snarl Silverquill Campus Snowfield Sinkhole Are all in standard and you can choose how much $ you want to spend. I would settle on x8 dual lands and 0-2 utility lands from among those. I would also just play x4 Righteous Valkyrie, that to me looks like your best card and has the best synergy with the rest of the deck. The deck also looks soft to early aggressive decks... so I might consider adding in 1-2 Doomskar to help with that. Lastly, I might try to find room for a few of these cards, but they are more preference-based as I think they deck looks very playable already. I would try to jam maybe a few of these cards: Enduring Angel  Flip Starnheim Unleashed Haunting Voyage.

If you didn't want to worry about standard legality, I would find someway somehow to find room for some amount of Baneslayer Angel. Maybe a Linvala, the Preserver as a cool one-of and if you wanted to spend the $, Resplendent Angel seems like a perfect include as x1-x4 of.

Hope that was helpful! And... take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm not exactly what you would call an active Magic player.

K0rt on Angels ♡ That need some help

Get ready for a long post. I put way to much effort into this.

Depends on what direction you want to go and how competitive you want to be. Currently, Ephemerate doesn't really give you much value for flicking your angels, meaning that it isn't worth the card it is taking up over just another angel. I see two different ways to take this deck, either leaning into Angel synergies with life gain or a Ephemerate deck.

Ephemerate decks are great, and if your looking for a budget deck for a kitchen table or low powered modern games then you can build something pretty cheaply by just looking around for cool cards on Scryfall. The issue is that if you want more than that and want a more powerful deck the creatures that work well with Ephemerate are generally really really good and become very expensive by being played loads. In competitive modern these are often 80 cards Yorion, Sky Nomad decks that run Stoneforge Mystic and Solitude as there main cards, which are very expensive. You can try something with Wall of Omens, Thraben Inspector and Charming Prince to generate value but it won't be very powerful with Stoneforge. I think if you want bang for your buck you probably want to try and build the deck around Angel's synergies, although if you want to upgrade into competitive Modern deck at some variable point in the future it is less good.

In the angel's direction, the main payoffs in Modern are being able to play Aether Vial, Resplendent Angel and Archangel of Thune which are all, presumably, out of your price range. To make a budget version you probably want to make out on Youthful Valkyrie, Speaker of the Heavens, Seraph Sanctuary and Bishop of Wings for additional synergies with Angels. You probably want to play some Serra Avenger as a cheap beater and source of Angel related triggers. Some other cards are Sephara, Sky's Blade, although with would be best with a source of tokens such as Lingering Souls and Spectral Procession and cheat it in more consistently if you want to build around it. Archangel of Tithes is greater in creature matchups if you play against them regularly and can easily win races combined with your lifegain. Angel of Invention is a 'Lord' effect that also can create chump blockers and have value if your creates all die. Honor of the Pure is a pump effect that is difficult to interact with. Starnheim Unleashed is one of the most powerful cards in standard Angels and can win games by itself.

As much as it pains me to say it as a big fan of Meld Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light  Flip aren't really that good, either dying to the most played removal in the format like (Lightning Bolt) for no value or costing 7 mana for too little upside. The same is true for Angel of Destiny which seems like a massive win more card 90% of the time. Starnheim Aspirant seems good but considering the number of white symbols in your costs I doubt this will be legitimately save on mana enough to warrant an inclusion. With your current mana base, you only going to draw double black to cast Sign in Blood 53% of the time by turn 6 and I doubt increasing the number of tapped lands is worth the card draw. Speaking of which making out on Scoured Barrens is probably worth it alongside a couple of other dual lands of your choice, maybe Silverquill Campus if your going to be running the Firja's Retribution which I recommend as that card is very very good.

TLDR: Add good cards cut bad cards.
