Shinechaser

Creature — Faerie

Flying, vigilance

Shinechaser gets +1/+1 as long as you control an artifact.

Shinechaser gets +1/+1 as long as you control an enchantment.

A must: Wayfarer's Bauble, Etchings of the Chosen, Baleful Strix, Coastal Piracy, Inspiring Leader.

Maybe? Solemn Simulacrum, Seal of Cleansing.

good but high mana cost: Gravitational Shift, Thalisse, Reverent Medium.

I would Remove

Winged Words cheap, not the first card to remove, but a bit weak in the long run

Hushbringer not so worth it

Shambling Suit and Shinechaser are not worth it

Eye Collector????

Bag of Holding too complicated

Workshop Elders too costly, 7 mana for a 4/4 each turn....> in this case just play Divine Visitation

Hey there,

I just put together a blue white voltron deck as well. I run hannah, ship's navigator at the moment to attempt to mitigate having any of my threats wiped. She also draws me a little less attention at the table.

But I really just wanted to let you know how much I have loved Shinechaser in the deck. It functions as a Bruna Lite with its flying and vigilance and is almost always a 3/3 flying vigilance for 3 mana in my deck. Add any buffs to that and she's a great threat at a low cost.

Also if you are looking for better ramp than the locket and cluestone check out Wayfarer's Bauble, Coldsteel Heart, Fractured Powerstone, Everflowing Chalice, Fellwar Stone basically anything that only costs 2 mana will really help out since your deck wants to be as aggressive as possible. Also turn three you want to drop your commander so the less cards you have competing with his slot the better.

I think the faerie tribal archetype is my favorite for Alela!

You'd find some good use for an Isochron Scepter. You've got enough low cost spells to justify it. With just a few more mana rocks, your Dramatic Reversal becomes a combo and your Oona, Queen of the Fae and Notorious Throng become surprise finishers.

I'm working on figuring out what to remove from my list to add both the scepter and the reversal, but I think you could swap Shinechaser for the scepter. The +2/+2 for itself is minimal impact compared to how your other faeries interact with the field.

I think you'll have a real blast playing this deck. Enjoy it, and the +1 from me!

Take out Shinechaser and Eye Collector. They are low impact. You should replace them with either a good artifact/enchantment creature (preferably flying) or just a good artifact or enchantment. Even Solemn Simulacrum would be fine.

It seems there are many cards in here that just don't do much, as well as there being naught in terms of basic essentials for a commander deck.

As for creatures:

Dewdrop Spy , Dream Thief , Faerie Duelist , Faerie Seer , Final-Sting Faerie , Hypnotic Sprite , Latchkey Faerie , Nightshade Schemers , Pestermite , Shinechaser , Surveilling Sprite , Thornwind Faeries , Wasp Lancer , and Wizened Snitches . None of these seem to stand out. They have lacking effects that don't bolster power level, but rather drag it down. Cards in other supertypes seem to fall under the same category.

Faerie Tauntings , Stolen by the Fae , Dimir Locket , Violet Pall and Dimir Locket all seem incongruous and lacking. Brainstorm is best when shuffling effects can launder away cards if need be. This deck has only two tutors. Stolen by the Fae is restrictive and minute in impact, as well as a sorcery. Violet Pall seems far too expensive for what it does.

For what I believe should be added, card draw, ramp, and threats.

Windreader Sphinx , Coastal Piracy , and Bident of Thassa are able to draw a considerable amount over the course of a match. Phyrexian Arena , Underworld Connections , and Consecrated Sphinx oft daggle me through the game rather easily.

Sol Ring , Smothering Tithe , Talisman of Progress , Talisman of Hierarchy , Azorius Signet , Dimir Signet , Orzhov Signet , and Mind Stone all carry their weight and herald efficiency.

For wraths, I find that two or three do the job well, and Rout or Cyclonic Rift seem to fit the plan of this deck well.

Dovin, Grand Arbiter could be a spicy option, and Unfulfilled Desires is a favourite of mine.

Good fortune to you, my liege. May all lout in your wake.

Also, you probably want to cut Wydwen, the Biting Gale , Shinechaser and even maybe Spell Queller .

Orbs of Warding might be a direct upgrade to Ivory Mask .
