Here are some ideas for the defensive options you mentioned:

Utter End and Anguished Unmaking are some good targeted removal options. Ashen Rider and Angel of Despair do the same thing on creatures.

Blind Obedience gives you another offensive and defensive option. Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and Koskun Falls work well together to tax your opponents to prevent large strikes.

For this type of deck, Exsanguinate can be another good aggressive card / finisher.

There are a couple cards that I would consider removing:

Contaminated Bond and Shadow Lance are very limited options, since they only effect one creature.

Castigate and Cry of Contrition only target a single player as well.

Carom and Shred Memory don't seem to do much. Tendrils of Corruption is an expensive, single target removal against one creature.

Interesting. I will have to try Archetype of Courage. My initial thought is that I would be reluctant to add something that is not overly useful by itself. That being said, it does turn every deathtouch creature into an amazing blocker, and an even better Rattlesnake than it already is. The idea of owning the first strike step is pretty tempting, although, I am afraid my total number of deathtouch creatures is a little low to fully take advantage of it. Given that one of the creatures is Queen Marchesa, my commander, and her Assassin tokens, I can exploit it more than it would seem. With that in mind, if I am trying to exploit only a card at at time, I may not need something that gives all my creatures first strike. If that is the case, I have to ask if I can get that ability cheaper if I only need to give it to one creature, and then, how much better is it to give it to more creatures? Interesting line of thought. I will have to consider. If Archetype of Courage is good, would Asha's Favor be as good, or does taking away first strike give me that much more? What about Chariot of Victory? If we are going single creature, maybe Ethereal Armor, Shadow Lance, or Hyena Umbra would be best? If we are just thinking about Queen Marchesa, what about going with Rise of the Hobgoblins, to get that multifunctional essence that many cards in this deck have, and then add an independent wincon? This subject is definitely worthy of consideration, even if the decklist does not change.

This is the first deck in version 2.0. I first removed from the generic pool of guild cards the worst in a multiplayer environment: Dutiful Thrull, Mourning Thrull, Syndicate Enforcer, Blind Hunter, Beckon Apparition, Cry of Contrition, Conjurer's Ban, Purge the Profane, Shadow Lance, Gift of Orzhova and Moratorium Stone were simply too weak; Sin Collector and Castigate are great in 1v1, but not very much here. And I'm still dubious about Alms Beast. Then I tryed to improve the deck adding Droning Bureaucrats, Loxodon Gatekeeper, Sandsower, Spelltithe Enforcer, Ghosts of the Innocent Faith's Fetters and Sphere of Safety to slow down the opponents and take time to build a stable board so is possible to take advantage of all the life drain the deck offer. Then Moonlight Bargain and Underworld Connections for card draw, and finally some bombs: Skeletal Vampire, Angel of Serenity, Luminate Primordial, Sepulchral Primordial and Grave Betrayal. The deck now perform as a strong wall against enemies, stopping them while slowly draining their life.

The only problem with Sunscour is the sorcery speed, but most Wraths are sorceries anyways.

You make a good point about No Mercy, I've used it before as a backup pillowfort when Teysa gets prohibitively expensive. There are some creatures I could pull and bring in more Orzhov enchantments like what you said and Shadow Lance

Thanks for the suggestion!
