I would jam 4x Serendib Efreet because the original art looks sweet, and it was WAAAAAYYY before my time. (So i never got to cast it when it was playable)

TwoIdiots on Baby's First Multiplayer Cube (cards to include?)

Suggested Cuts:

COLORLESS

  • Hymn of the Wilds (this card sucks in multiplayer. Every deck needs its instants and sorceries)

GOLD

WHITE

  • Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile discourages attacks, even against other players, which is bad. If we had included Azorius hard control, stax or tax this card would be fine though
  • Gustcloak Savior I dont think it does enough
  • Herald of the Host Serra Angel isnt good enough for this format
  • Kytheon, Hero of Akros  Flip pikers arent good enough in this format, and he sucks as a planeswalker I think
  • Crescendo of War too slow
  • Dusk / Dawn I think that ultimately there wont be a deck that really benefits from this
  • Just a general note about white: we have too many pump effects. Lets cut a couple.

BLUE

BLACK

Suggested ADDITIONS

WHITE:

BLUE:

BLACK:

RED:

GREEN:

GOLD:

I think our next task will be deciding which are the best 50 or so cards in each color from our pool. that should lay the groundwork for deciding which narrow cards (i.e., archetype-specific) cards we should include. Curious to hear your thoughts on cuts/additions!

Additions (trying to push boros. We can remove anything on this list, of course):

Things to consider for UW (not added, lets discuss):

Cuts:

Some notes:

Do we include sigets? I think it might be a good idea.

Pieguy396 on W: Bulk cards for Isperia …

I'm looking for some bulk cards to finish off an Isperia the Inscrutable flying "tribal" EDH deck:

Archetype of Imagination, Archon of Justice, Archon of Redemption, Bident of Thassa, Cloudblazer, Gravitational Shift, Judge's Familiar, Peek, Soulcatcher, Spirit of the Hearth, Sprite Noble, Spy Network, Telepathy, Whispersilk Cloak, and Windreader Sphinx.

All of these cards (as well as cards I have for trade) are listed in both my binder and my PucaTrade profile.

Thank you in advance!

that reasoning is not any good at all. its very simple: ban the reserved list! none of those decks are any too powerful that it can hurt. OH NO!!! A Serendib Efreet!!! the thing is with banning some cards, those decks are perfectly fair. and to be honest, this format wasn't even invented by you guys. take a look.

I was thinking about an old debate we had, about whether or not standard decks before 8th edition are worth it. So I looked at the popular type1 decks, and the mirage and tempest blocks decks. None of those decks seem to compare to the decks of today's standard decks. for example, the "blue black control" decks in the theros-m15 block is easily much better than the "sandsipoise" deck from the mirage block, which was considered tier 1 at the time. Also, we discussed how dual lands were included in type1 decks, and how powerful dual lands are. But the thing is, how are dual lands powerful, when the most dangerous creature of that time was Serendib Efreet? Is Serendib Efreet more powerful than Phyrexian Obliterator? I think decks from the newer blocks are better, like the infect decks from new phyrexia. I do hope you guys look over this, and decide to add decks from pre 8th edition, because they are not more powerful than recent standard decks. thank you.
