+1 just for making a deck where both sides of Selfless Glyphweaver  Flip are relevant :D

Join the Ranks and Unified Front do NOT do the same thing.

One is a Sorcery, one is an Instant.

The Instant can trigger Rally on an opponent's turn. The Sorcery cannot.

Therefore the Instant speed of Join the Ranks makes it better, for this deck.

Likewise, Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves have a significant difference. One gives Hexproof and one gives Shroud.

The owner of a permanent can't target something with Shroud, but they can if it has Hexproof.

That makes Swiftfoot Boots the better choice.

My guess is that you have forgotten that lands are permanents, which seems to happen a LOT when people give deck suggestions.

Amulet of Vigor is absolutely amazing in this deck, because it makes all the tri lands come in untapped, and raring to go.

The one suggestion you made that was helpful was Selfless Glyphweaver  Flip and I will insert that instead of Coalition Relic

Thanks for mentioning it.

Personally I would remove Bala Ged Thief and Beastcaller Savant because 1. While Bala Ged Thief is a good card, it doesn't really contribute to your wincons and 2. I would remove Beastcaller Savant because it has a very minimal effect on your board state as a whole(in other words I think that card slot would be used more effectively with a different card). I run a similar setup to you but with less lands without any mana issues if youre worried about that. Gideon's Phalanx is very expensive for the effect that it gives but I respect your choice. If anything you should probably swap Join the Ranks with Unified Front since it does the same thing but better, same with Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves . I'm not sure how much use you get out of Amulet of Vigor but it doesn't seem like it would have a big effect on this deck, maybe consider Darksteel Plate instead. Selfless Glyphweaver  Flip could also be a really good choice for on demand indestructible, maybe replace Drana's Emissary .

I like Dusk / Dawn especially the Dawn part as it hits almost all creatures in this deck. Slaughter the Strong and Fell the Mighty are a bit problematic imo, because they care about the power of creatures. With Breena, the Demagogue out, this deck should be able to place a fair amount of +1/+1 counters on our creatures, so that they would be big enough to be hit by those board wipes as well.

On the other hand, this is something that could be played around by placing all/most counters on only one or two creatures if one of those board wipes is in hand. Austere Command is neat here because it cares about mana value instead of power. In the deck as it is right now there are only 3/4 creatures with mana value 4 or greater.

Those sweepers are something to keep in mind while playtesting for sure. Currently there only is Austere Command , Selfless Glyphweaver  Flip and single target removal in the deck. If it turns out that the deck could use some more board wipes i think Dusk / Dawn would be my favorite, followed by Tragic Arrogance and Slaughter the Strong .

Thanks for the tips!

PS: The dog subtheme was not intentional, i don't think i will persue that one. A shame Resolute Watchdog has defender, otherwise it would slot right in.

That's a great list, really nice idea. I was trying to build a more political Breena but your list changed my mind. An aggro Breena is really powerfull.

And how about the new cards that come in precon? Nils, Discipline Enforcer and how Cunning Rhetoric could help protecting against attacks?

Felisa, Fang of Silverquill can really help against a board wipe. And what about Keen Duelist in the deck? A risky drawing card?

Selfless Glyphweaver  Flip could be a good one for protection.

Also, what do you think of using Promise of Tomorrow in this deck?

Really appreciate your idea and I'll try build a Breena with your idea!
