Ruinous Gremlin

Creature — Gremlin

, Sacrifice Ruinous Gremlin: Destroy target artifact.

Maverick_Titan on Budget R/W Vehicles Aggro

First off I would probably sideboard Ruinous Gremlin I feel like it more distracts from your strategy unless you know you'll need artifact removal. I would replace it with 2-of Renegade Wheelsmith. I know none of your Vehicles need crew-3, but getting rid of opponent's defense is great for your aggro concept. Also I would throw in some Aether Hub over some of your Mountains to keep your Harvester pumping with lifelink just in case the game lasts longer than you'd anticipate.

I took a lot more out. But he Ruinous Gremlin is still in the sideboard. He is my living artifact removal.

Take out Ruinous Gremlin in place for Village Messenger  Flip and you very well might have a decently competitive deck.

Drachegeist on Goblins...? Atogs...? Gremlins!!!

Mainboard

Ruinous Gremlin great at taking out pesky Vehicles.

Ravenous Intruder are basic Atog in standard.

Metallic Mimic to help with the Gremlin Tribal theme.

Freejam Regent is a late game finisher that utilizes the 20 artifacts in this deck.

Speaking of artifacts, Inventors' Fair to help buffer life total losses without too much worry.

Metalspinner's Puzzleknot for some card advantage.

Pilgrim's Eye to make sure you have better chances to play a land after turn 3.

Sideboard

Unlicensed Disintegration is great against Saheeli Combo, can take out the Guardian and redirect the 3 damage to Saheeli.

Heroic Intervention is to prevent board whipping.

Maybeboard

Implement of Combustion to replace Implement of Ferocity just as another way to disrupt the Saheeli Combo by redirecting 1 damage to her after she makes a copy. But will test play with having +1/+1 Counters up for grabs.

warren667 on Burn it Down

In the description you said your main goal is to Burn the opponent down and creatures are just a backup plan. If this is truly the case here are a few suggestions.

Every deck with red has Lightning Bolt because it is the strongest common and you should consider investing in them.

-2 Assembled Alphas -1 Clear a Path +3 Guttersnipe gutter snipe is faster than the alphas in multiple ways and fits the flavor very well.

Searing Blaze, Lightning Storm, Magma Jet, Skullcrack, Shard Volleythese are all great cheap burn spells that can replace Weapon Surge, Tormenting Voice, Cathartic Reunion, Hijack Lava Axe, Lightning Talons Seismic Stomp, Talons of Falkenrath, Hammerhand

-2Speedway Fanatic -2 Scourge Wolf + 4Hellspark Elemental-2Rummaging Goblin -2 Dragon Hatchling + 4Keldon Marauders-2Ruinous Gremlin -2 Insolent Neonate +4 Spark Elemental

12 Creatures is plenty for a burn deck so any extras I didn't name can become burn spells.

With all of that said it looks like you are a actually pushing for a more creature dmg based deck with all of the combat tricks and enchants that you added in the original deck. If this is the case I would direct you to this deck for something to gain inspiration from https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/474720#online

Dredgar on Counter and Overwhelm

Demolish, Ruinous Gremlin. Blue has Disperse which can, at the very least, get it off the battlefield for a turn.

What about Ruinous Gremlin instead of Foundry Inspector. I notice you don't have any one drops.

Finally catching up on comments ...

oblivion234 and ArmyJM07,
Yep. I've been thinking about making a Temur build ever since this post.

oblivion234,
Red also has Artifact hate. No more Smash to Smithereens of course, but IMO Destructive Tampering and Release the Gremlins are quite good, and Gremlin Infestation, Structural Distortion, and Ruinous Gremlin have their uses.

ArmyJM07,
Sounds like a fun deck!

randomrarehunter,
Sorry but neither Aqueous Form nor Artful Dodge are legal in Standard. Plus they have the same problems Slip Through Space does, from this post.

sas3197,
Thanks for the kudos. In actual testing (with 4x Crackdown Construct, 3x Key to the City, and 2x Trail of Evidence), I've seen Inventors' Fair in about 70% of my games, and it's triggered in about 30% of those. That's a far cry from "never" :-D

Less than 26 Lands might work, but I started there (based on this list) and have been happy with it so far.

As an aside, at some point I'm going to test a Clue-heavy build, using Mechanized Production (#Protect_Combo_Pieces #Alt_Wincon) and Tamiyo's Journal (#Find_Combo_Pieces). If I do that, I would likely increase the Investigate effects too (e.g., with Erdwal Illuminator and Confirm Suspicions)

Bigbare01,
Yeah, that could be fun. I figure half the Internet is already trying to break Saheeli and Guardian though, so I'm gonna stick to Crackdown Construct for now. For ideas on what other people are doing, I recommend checking out the Recent Decks section of the Crackdown Construct page.

Thanks everyone!
