My first thought is you need to add more lands. The goldilocks zone is 35-38. Decks with lower curves can afford fewer lands but higher curves like yours should be 36 at least. You have a good amount of ramp, but that's not gonna be enough to compensate. I'd recommend dropping Rod of Ruin, Decoction Module, and at least one of the following to make room: Nest Robber, Ravenous Daggertooth, and/or Bomat Bazaar Barge.

I have been working crazy long hours recently so my play time at my LGS has taken a hit! However, the only 'main' problem I can see so far is that this deck is pretty mana hungry for making cheeky plays. As far as leaving up mana for Consumptive Goo or Rod of Ruin plays in tandem with Puppet Strings, Jandor's Saddlebags and Vhati, it can get costly. It is obvious that, with this being inspired by the B/G/x rock decks of old, we are very comfortable in the mid- late game. That is of course not to suggest we are bad in the early game either, we just do more as the games go on. Playing a criminally underrated Commander helps us as we are certainly NEVER the main focus at any table.

Notably (to probably, literally nobodies surprise) Seedborn Muse is the best play for this deck as fast as possible and is quite literally napalm stapled to a 2/4 body! Centaur Glade with Seedborn Muse and Kamahl, Fist of Krosa was pretty degenerate. Most of the decks I end up running into have a Taxes or Control type shell. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite does not hurt this deck as bad as you'd think and access to green lets us power thru most Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Grand Arbiter Augustin IV effects.

Again the high toughness value to a majority of our creature base lets the wumpus rampage away and lets us use Noxious Field and Pestilence to our advantage in most multi use per turn scenarios.

As for an upcoming 'Pre-Modern" styled deck, I am really intrigued by playing a 'Bleed Out' style deck with Ankh of Mishra, Manabarbs, Spellshock, Citadel of Pain and Sulfuric Vortex style jund deck. Commanders in the running's are Xira Arien or Adun Oakenshield to lead this idea! It's in the works :)

Rod of Ruin, Thrashing Wumpus, Pestilence, and Noxious Field all will do rather nicely as well! I just threw together the same guy with the same idea! Consider taking a look at my list if you'd like some ideas! Keep on building!!

Today’s previews had some exciting cards, but not as many as the previous two days.

How can a 7/6 for 3 mana be justified? I know that rotting regisaur has a drawback, but that drawback is not sufficient to balance it, in my mind.

With repeated reverberation, has WotC decided that copying spells and abilities is now more of a red ability than a blue one?

The flavor text on Yarok indicates that it is from Zendikar, so I shall be certain to indicate that in my list.

It seems that there may be a cycle, or at least a mirrored pair, of cavaliers in this set, so I shall be looking forward to that.

I have no problem with there being colored artifacts in this set, as long as they do not displace colorless artifacts.

Sun herald would have been great if her ability was not limited to creatures with flying or could target herself, but, as she is, she is useful only in certain decks.

Scholar of the ages is simply too expensive for its effect, so I doubt that it shall be used very often (at least in any format other than EDH).

Season of growth is very nice, but I feel that it should have cost 1 mana more, because it is too powerful as it currently is.

The new Sorin is nice, but all of his abilities are vampire-centirc, which is not consistent with previous portrayals of him (he has no particular fondness for other vampires, so that is a flavor fail, in my mind).

I have mixed feelings about the new Yanling; her second and third abilities are both nice, but her first ability is nothing spectacular, and she is one of the few planeswalkers who cannot use their second ability immediately after entering the battlefield; she may use only her first ability, which shall certainly limit her versatility.

I personally believe that dragon mage should have remained a rare, since I feel that its ability is too powerful for an uncommon.

Are all ten scrylands being reprinted, or only the enemy-colored ones? I really hope that all ten are reprinted, but at least their new artwork is very nice.

Leyline of abundance is nice, but its ability is too expensive to make is practical in any format outside of EDH, so I shall use Shalai, Voice of Plenty over it.

Retributive wand is better than Rod of Ruin , but not by much; why can WotC not simply reprint Staff of Nin ?

Yes, I want some of those - and Citadel would make a great addition - but don't have the resources to get many new cards for my decks at the moment :)

Tarnished Citadel is on my list along with City of Brass, Grand Coliseum and Nomad Stadium for lands, and Jade Monolith, Staff of Nin, Scepter of Empires and Torture Chamber for atifacts (Acorn Catapult already being in the deck). I also had Rod of Ruin in here until recently, but started to attend EDH tournaments and felt it was suboptimal :)

Oh, and there's the odd Witch Hunter, too.

(Ancient Tomb is totally beyond my budget...)

I also consider some cards that force my opponents to attack, such as Arcum's Whistle, Bullwhip or Oracle en-Vec.

If you have any other propositions, please share them :)

Definitely take out Failed Inspection Traumatic Visions Marang River Prowler Aether Meltdown Rod of Ruin Millstone Slayer's Cleaver Soul Separator Lens of Clarity Pacification Array Tome Scour Winged Sliver Windrider Patrol Sliver Construct Skyline Predator Shifting Sliver Hinterland Drake Monastery Flock Kheru Spellsnatcher Deep-Sea Terror Diffusion Sliver Mystical Teachings

I know thats a lot but most of those cards are just straight bad for commander, and the slivers only benefit each other and theres just not enough of them, replace those and I have a few more suggestions

Serum Visions Cephalid Constable Chasm Skulker (def get Skulker) Deadeye Navigator Delver of Secrets  Flip Disciple of the Ring Djinn of Wishes Contingency Plan and Niblis of Frost are just a few more that are pretty good

Thanks for the suggestions WMonkey1990. A lot of these cards would be good in a Krenko deck but with Worts reanimate ability you want to run heavy on creatures not other cards.

Goblin Rabblemaster - I don't like that he makes all Goblins attack. I don't want them all attacking every turn.

Goblin Rally - Too much mana, I have other token makers.

War Cadence - In the list.

Goblinslide - I run too many creatures for this to be useful.

Guttersnipe - See above.

Foundry Street Denizen - I've thought about adding him but, I've always found better options.

Krenko's Command - Just don't really have room for it.

Rod of Ruin - Don't have room or much need of it. Not a creature.

Berserkers' Onslaught - Too high of mana cost for what it does. Also, not a creature.

Impact Tremors - already in the list.

Massive Raid - Just a more expensive Goblin War Strike.

Purphoros, God of the Forge - I'd have to find a spot but he could work well in here.
