Titan Elephant

Creature - Elephant

Trample, shroud

Titan Elephant enters the battlefield with five +1/+1 counters.

If Titan Elephant would be dealt damage, instead prevent that damage, remove that many +1/+1 counters from Titan Elephant, and create that many 1/1 green and white Archer tokens.

1/0

Create a card whose name is an anagram (or close to an anagram) of another card, that refers to the original card. Compare Guided Strike and Ridged Kusite.

Thanks for the suggestions Burila24! I think I might get rid of Ridged Kusite and try Shrieking Affliction. Blightning would be awesome, but I'm trying to keep it mono black if possible. That being said, once i actually test it, I may swap something out and try it. And thanks for the upvote too!

I know what you mean -- Maybe it a super budget build they might be useful, but otherwise they're not really efficient. I do love using Ridged Kusite to give Gitrog first strike though to make it combat invincible.

Loving the Gitrog discussion -- I've been playing around with a build that uses the spellshapers -- Undertaker, Greenseeker, Ridged Kusite and Silverglade Pathfinder -- I know they're no Wild Mongrel or Oona's Prowler since they're one-and-done as opposed to infinite discard, but I think they at least need to be considered for some kind of role, even if it's just options. Thoughts?

Spellshapers!

Undertaker

Greenseeker

Chuck a land, draw a card, get the effect. Bish, bash, bosh.

There are some nice option for Gitrog -- I've found the Spellshapers work since they discard to activate their abilities; Greenseeker and Undertaker for example.

The best one though? Ridged Kusite -- Gives Gitrog first strike and, if you discard a land, draws you a card.

There's also the dreams -- Insidious Dreams and Nostalgic Dreams for tutor and recursion.

A Toad-Shaped Rock is my building draft, if anyone fancies a look or has any suggestions.

+1 from me -- Looks like we had similar ideas when approaching the deck (Greenseeker and Silverglade Pathfinder)

Only thing I could do is echo the sentiments of the others who've advised Crucible of Worlds but I respect someone who knows their budget -- So here's my two-cents; Ridged Kusite -- Works like the other spellshapers and can give Gitrog first strike along with deathtouch in a pinch!
