Relief Captain Discussion

Cats > Knights in terms of voltron tribes. Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith > the Bright Twins in terms of voltron commanders. But still, I can suggest.
Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer is pretty nice, though not on-tribe.
Adriana, Captain of the Guard is pretty sweet.
Hero of Bladehold is a sweet token generator, and battle cry is relevant.
Relief Captain is a highly underrated card imo. 6 power for four mana, across four bodies? Yes please.
Silverblade Paladin is a lot of value.
Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor is among my favorite cards.

In my opinion, you got to much going on here and not enough "straight-lined" synergy. Do away with Halimar Tidecaller and anything with "awaken". Do away with Auriok Windwalker, Stoneforge Acolyte, Steelshaper's Gift, Stonehewer Giant and all the artifacts. Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper seems like a loner in this deck, ditch him.
Where the allies really shine is in their enter the battlefield abilities like rally. Consider putting in Munda, Ambush Leader, Kazuul Warlord, Hada Freeblade, Firemantle Mage, Highland Berserker, Munda's Vanguard, Relief Captain, Kazandu Blademaster, Talus Paladin...etc. I run a boros ally deck hence the colors of the cards mentioned above but there are literally dozens of ally creatures with the rally ability.

Personally i think the support mechanic from oath of the gate watch would fit perfectly for instance Relief Captain, Gladehart Cavalry,Shoulder to Shoulder, and Nissa's Judgment, there are more but just to start. also Rishkar, Peema Renegade, by using them together all your creatures now become mana rocks. Another great draw would be Armorcraft JudgeIf you choose to use this mechanic with lots of triggered abilities to use I'd say Panharmonicon and Strionic Resonator For cuts I'd say Prime Speaker Zegana, Ichor Rats, Elite Scaleguard, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite.

HairyManBack, thanks for the comments.
Yes - Relief Captain and Clutch of Currents are spots that I still need to sort out. I started with Cloudblazer and Immolating Glare, but found that I wanted to reduce the mana curve. Against a hate deck, I would want to swap out for Ninth Bridge Patrol and Perpetual Timepiece to recycle my graveyard. I also considered 4 Fogwalker or Topplegeist and an extra Turn Aside, dropping Relief Captain and Clutch of Currents, but will most likely end up with some combination of Fogwalker and Essence Flux.
The key is Panharmonicon. Multiple blinks of Reflector Mage with a few Panharmonicon on the field effectively prevents my opponent using creatures. Multiple blinks of Manic Scribe with a few Panharmonicon on the field is very effecting mill. In the late game, blinking Relief Captain a few times will build other creatures into something to attack with.

I like the deck theme. It looks hilarious. One thing I first noticed is the low creature count and 11 blink effects. Not sure how good that is when aiming for consistency.
One creature I had looked at was Relief Captain. Seems like he could really do some damage. But here it looks out of sorts with few creatures MB. I'd see him cool with a flyer/weenie theme like a splash of Spirits or something.

Hi, I saw your deck help forum about Planeswalker deck ideas and that brought me here. I don't have a brand new deck idea but I have some ideas for this one.
I really like what you have going on here, but I think you can take it to the next level by focusing on GW hybrid creatures. Tolsimir Wolfblood and Wilt-Leaf Liege both anthem for green AND white creatures. Fleecemane Lion is a solid choice that I love, but I would maybe replace the Outlast creatures with stuff like Dryad Militant, Safehold Elite, Watchwolf, Selesnya Guildmage, Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers, and possibly Seedcradle Witch. The Outlast creatures do benefit from the Ajanis placing +1/+1 counters, but by themselves are somewhat slow and mana intensive. If you instead loaded up on GW hybrid creatures, you could focus on really benefiting from the various anthem effects and the Ajanis would further that even more. One other benefit from playing hybrid creatures is that they are really easy on your manabase. If you played enough hybrids you could replace some of your ETB tapped lands with more basics which would allow for faster starts. If you did go down this route, I would probably go up to 4 copies of Wilt-Leaf Liege to ensure you draw one quickly.
If you want to stick to the +1/+1 theme then I would suggest trading out some of your existing non-creature pump spells for ones that give counters such as: Lead by Example, Shoulder to Shoulder, Burst of Strength, or Hunger of the Howlpack. You could also consider creatures like Relief Captain and Saddleback Lagac.
I would also try and get your land count to at least 22. 20 is a bit low if you're trying to cast high CMC spells and trying to Outlast your creatures.
Anyway, I like the deck idea. Have fun!

Mausoleum Wanderer is a good counterspell on a stick too, can be blinked with the displacer too, but isn't a mage, so doesn't quite follow flavour wise...
I have something kind of similar I've been playtesting lately, I was playing bant company , but I wanted a budget deck. Spirit of the Azors
