Regna's Sanction

Tribal Sorcery

For each player, choose whether or not that player is a friend or foe. Each friend puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature they control. Each foe chooses one untapped creature they control, then taps the rest.

Mmmm okay quite positive about the Silverquill deck:

Cunning Rhetoric: Fun and nicely costed. Thantis, the Warweaver approves.

Bold Plagiarist: Unfortunately, it's not whenever anyone puts counters on an opponent's creature, so some symmetrical cards like Evolutionary Escalation won't work since you're the one putting down all the counters. There's a handful that seems to fit the bill tho: Shadrix Silverquill , Orzhov Advokist , Regna's Sanction , Tempt with Glory (why is this a six-drop?) and Agitator Ant . (Also Oversimplify , but I don't think there's a way for Bold Plagiarist to see the Fractals getting their counters.) I kinda wish it was an Aura or auto-attaching Equipment.

Author of Shadows: Graveyard hate is nice and all but one measly card for MV 5? Would have been cool if you got something from each opponent.

Keen Duelist: Something between Bob and BO . Probably not as competitive as the former, but it's fun.

Scholarship Sponsor: Go go Aven Mindcensor , obviously. Compare Explosive Vegetation .

Stinging Study: Whoah okay. No Ad Nauseam , but I like that this rewards the more expensive commanders (Wait no shoo! Go away Dargo !) With an MV 5+ card at the helm it's a fine rate.

Promise of Loyalty: Mm-hm, it's nice that they're working on white wraths. Great for and against Voltron decks.

Combat Calligrapher: White flying token gifter that also makes evasive tokens for yourself? My Marisi deck welcomes it with open arms.

Tempting Contract: This can certainly get out of hand, but for something that's basically a tapped MV 4 mana rock I wish it made you one Treasure guaranteed per trigger, like the Tempting Offer spells it's based on.

Nils, Discipline Enforcer: While far from competitive, here's a fun commander for some of those abovementioned counter-giving cards

Fain, the Broker: As mentioned by Muddstah, a Trading Post in the command zone is pretty neat, and none of the "conversion" abilities cost any mana! That untapping will probably be used for some nonsense or other

Felisa, Fang of Silverquill: Kinda funny that enemy Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and The Scorpion God players can end up making tokens for you. Black Sun's Zenith can make a Martial Coup impression here. Are there any old creatures in orzhov that makes large amounts of weird counters for itself?

I really dig the intent behind this design! It always feels bad when a new player gives up on the game because they got stomped on too much. Seems like this deck can help new players to enjoy the game alongside seasoned players. I have a Phelddagrif deck of similar design (hug only 1 player) if you'd like to check it out.

I'm thinking these cards would be right up your alley: Null Chamber , Pir's Whim , Zndrsplt's Judgment , Regna's Sanction , Virtus's Maneuver , Infernal Offering , Intellectual Offering , Sylvan Offering , Benevolent Offering , Bramble Sovereign , Primal Vigor , Dawnbreak Reclaimer , Assault Suit

I think Regna's Sanction isn't too necessary in the deck since you don't have a lot of creatures so it will help your opponents more than yourself. You may also want to remove Aetherflux Reservoir since it is kinda slow and is just asking to be blown up, if you are going for spell slinging damage then maybe Sentinel Tower may be better or just swapping it out for a Oblivion Stone for an additional board wipe.

This deck seems pretty well done for politics, and would be awesome to play against. I would recommend Regna's Sanction for the added help In making friends, as well as a response to some scary board states. Cool and unique deck :)

Victory Chimes, Horn of Greed and Howling Mine all have a sort of 'huggy' feel to them. Regna's Sanction, Pir's Whim and Zndrsplt's Judgment can hug or hinder depending on the situation so can be important political tools. Rainbow Vale and Jace Beleren can also make you some friends and while it make take some work, Jace potentially can win via mill [that's a long game though...]. Arcane Denial, Beast Within and Rapid Hybridization could also fit the hug theme as it lets you stop something but leaves them something. You probably want to make sure you have some chance of stopping an opponent from running away with the game if you want a chance to enact your own strategy

None of these cards are super expensive [$5 or lower] as it looks like this deck is on the budget-ish side.

I might still try to fit a Sol Ring in as getting off ramp spells a turn earlier is nice if nothing else.

(Continuing from the "4 Favors" Forum Post...)

  1. For Ramp in Boros, I have Mana Rocks & Basic Land Manipulation via Solemn Simulacrum. Naturally, I can Ramp Extra Turns & Glorious End an opponent in addition. Card Draw is based on cards like Browbeat + a Damage Doubler, forcing one to pay 10 instead for me not to draw. Same for Risk Factor, except I don't need to Jump-Start it to repeat the effects. I also have several Rummaging Effects & Wheels. Removal is even more complex than the others; as I wanted underrated Spot Removal that can target nearly all card types; this failed when I realized so far, only has compatibility for Planeswalker killing. That's my reason behind all this.

  2. To put it this way: the cEDH community put (Almost?) all Boros Commanders on Tier 3 on a range of Tier's 0-4, with 0 being the strongest. I wanted to upgrade this to Tier 2 since, as most Boros Commanders are on this boat anyway (Except Sylvia Brightspear & Khorvath Brightflame I'm guessing?), & making something good enough could promote Boros to Tier 2 at most.

But for deck names based on a single phrase; for the glory of Aurelia, I would choose "Gisela Aggro Value Town Stax" The Damage Dealing is where the Aggro output is coming from, as well as some resistance. Value comes from some examples of cards CommandCast you aforementioned; including Flicker effects, Rummaging, Reanimator, etc., this is where the Extra turns also apply. & Stax is for stuff that can lockdown a board to a point where even in White, stuff in Legacy even can be useful here.

3: Such combos have since been revised, & is still in a WIP status. They will have a much better description for each. & yes, Anarchist has since been cut anyway.

Oh & thanks for the tough love, landofMordor! :) I'm going to search for some flicker effects outside of Eldrazi Displacer BTW! But I have one last question; is either Khorvath's Fury or Regna's Sanction of ANY worth?

One last thing, I'm making this deck also for the idea that Boros isn't just meant for " Me" effects. It has Niche cards that just kickass. Later! :D
