Er. Ignore that Ready because I forgot about Willing...

Replacement suggestion: Riftsweeper in case your key equipments or artifacts or enchantments get Merciless Evictioned. Steelshaper's Gift could be a useful tutor.

I have Portcullis in my Group Hug deck and it's always amusing to play, to help with board control.

Voltaic Key into Magewright's Stone gives an extra Selvala. Depending on how fast you get your neverending turn set up, Horn of Greed for more cards for more land for more cards.

From a quick search, Gerrard's Command and Ready also untap in G/W.

Ohh Ready/Willing would be a nice play if you pay the mana cost of each spell. Fell the Mighty is good as long as your creatures aren't too beefy in the power department.

DarkStarStorm brings up some really good points. If you want to increase the likelihood of surviving long enough to get your big Angels on the field, you're going to need to ramp up how quickly you can build your boardstate. Currently, this deck gets big creatures on the board by Turn 4-5 using Axebane Guardians and Overgrown Battlements, which need to be summoned no later than Turn 3 to be effective. But that means drawing into two of eight specific cards by Turn 3. This isn't always going to happen.

To be more consistent, you want to add more ways to build up your boardstate on Turns 4 and 5. Descendants' Path can help you do that. There are some low CMC Angels you can add to the deck that will help you get bigger Angels with Descendants' Path, ones you can play as early as Turn 4 with your ramp.

The time it takes to set up your board is your biggest obstacle in this deck, and having your creatures destroyed will set this deck back a lot too. Better ways of giving your field protection/indestructible might end up saving your ass around Turn 4-6 while you ramp to bigger Angels.

Archangel Avacyn  Flip can help with both Descendants' Path and board protection. You can Flash her in as early as your Turn 4 upkeep if you have ramp and play Descendants' Path on Turn 3, which might in turn cheat a Turn 4 Iona onto the field.

Other examples of low CMC Angels that play to this deck's theme are Angel of Finality, Angel of Jubilation, Angelic Page, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Restoration Angel, and Sublime Archangel.

As for spells to protect your board, you want things that give everything protection or indestructible, not just one thing. Options include Make a Stand, Ready, Ajani's Presence, and Heroic Intervention (maybe remove Emerge Unscathed for a playset of these?).

I would remove:

1 - Reconnaissance - it is a good card, but its synergy is with the voltron decks. Replace it with Panharmonicon, double triggers with your Allies is VERY STRONG.

2- Ready - Ready / Willing is a good combat trick, but Shared Animosity is a giant threat. I was suggesting Alesha, Who Smiles at Death for multiplayer games.

3 - Brago, King Eternal can replace Levitation. Levitation cannot br brough from the grave, and Archetype of Imagination can be brought back via Alesha or other spell. When Brago hits, its superb.

So far I think they biggest problem you're gonna have is board wipes. If you can keep the army out they'll do work but if you get threatening we just need a wrath effect.

indestructible anti-wipe - Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Archangel Avacyn  Flip, Eldrazi Monument, Dauntless Escort, Selfless Spirit

recursion anti-wipe - Sheoldred, Whispering One, Phyrexian Reclamation

tricksy little hobbitses anti-wipe - Ghostway, Eerie Interlude, Heroic Intervention, Ready, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Cauldron of Souls

walkers to include - Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Liliana Vess, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Ajani Steadfast

things that I think are just good - Avenger of Zendikar, Mycoloth, Rishkar, Peema Renegade, Winding Constrictor, Oath of Ajani, Primeval Protector

Saskia shares this problem of board-wipes fizzling me out. In her list I run a mix of 10ish recursion/indestructible and it feels like the sweet spot for it. I'd recommend about the same.

Cards that I feel are a must are:

Ready - I feel like this card as super blow-out potential like Boros Charm does in my list. Has the added benefit of fusing for lifelink and deathtouch too!

Ajani Steadfast - if you only add one walker make it this guy. devistating ulty with Deepglow Skate, has a universal counter pump, or can make 1 creature super threatening with his +1

Liliana Vess - she's just super solid here. devastating if you get her out with Deepglow Skate, tutors, and has some hand hate for the LOLOLOLs

Jace, Unraveler of Secrets - same as lili. devistating with the skate but boasts some bounce protection and a scry/draw.

Rishkar, Peema Renegade - gives some serious synergy with your outlast peeps as well as providing some serious ramp

Winding Constrictor - literally made for the deck. comes out just after commander 2016 release? suspicious....

Oath of Ajani - see above, MADE FOR THE DECK

Nice. I too thought thopter-sword would be an interesting fit for the Rite. Fervor vs Temur Ascendancy? If going all-in, maybe try Mass Hysteria? Combo protection in the form of Apostle's Blessing and/or Simic Charm offers some tempo potential. Intruder Alarm is fragile, but also allows infinite combo...

Ready also does nice things vs. Group burn effects, though Boros Charm is stronger most of the time, but does not untap.

Maybe try out Condescend or Spell Pierce vs combo or discard decks. (??)

Nice work.

Rootborn Defenses,Ready,Terra Eternal in sideboard,Asceticism,Dauntless Escort and Inspiring Call

Here are all the anti board wipes I could find. I personally would recommend the rootborn or ready/willing orthe escort. And regeneration does NOT remove counters, so Golgari Charm, Wrap in Vigor, Wail of the Nim, and Loxodon Hierarch some other fun ones, Varolz, the Scar-Striped and Martial Coup

No data for this card yet.
