Novablast Wurm is super tough to get out onto the battlefield no matter what corners you cut with ramp. I actually suggest trying just Green/Black and not worrying about White so much. I'd also suggest some dual lands to smooth out the mana needed for spells:
Some other Wurms worth considering are:
- 1x Sifter Wurm, some life gain.
- 1x Engulfing Slagwurm, also for life gain.
- 1x Elderscale Wurm
- 1x Bellowing Tanglewurm
- 2-3x Ravaging Riftwurm, scary early game, useful late game.
With the Wurm theme less feels like more. I don't think Greater Sandwurm is particularly mean or scary or overly useful (since you can play a cheap green tutor rather than the 2 mana cycle cost to help thin your deck).
If there's ever a time you feel like splurging, Wurmcoil Engine is hands down my favorite Wurm card and probably one of, if not my favorite Artifact Creature in Magic. Super scary and good at all points of the game.

High-power dudes: Old-Growth Dryads, Sheltering Ancient, Phyrexian Soulgorger, Rhonas the Indomitable, Woodland Bellower, Argothian Wurm, Tempting Wurm, Cultivator's Caravan, Smuggler's Copter, Heart of Kiran, Nylea, God of the Hunt, Chameleon Colossus, Heroes' Bane, Omnath, Locus of Mana, Citanul Centaurs, Consulate Dreadnought, Exemplar of Strength, Groundbreaker, Hunted Troll, Hunted Wumpus, Irontread Crusher, Leatherback Baloth, Lupine Prototype, Myr Superion, Pangosaur, Ravaging Riftwurm, Talara's Battalion, and a lot of mana dorks (because Llanowar Elves is basically a Sol Ring, adding from the ability and towards Ghalta)

Selvala should be in here, you're right. And yeah, I checked all the staple Selvala cards, Sheltering Ancient and Phyrexian Soulgorger are the only really good ones. Ravaging Riftwurm is another fine addition, but I didn't want to go too gimmick heavy, especially when we won't be making use of Selvala's mana ability as consistently.
And this really isn't a voltron deck; we're casting big dumb creatures that do nothing to reduce Ghalta's CMC, and ideally get a 12/12 for . Best of all is his ability reduces the Commander tax whenever it goes back into the command zone.
I don't plan on making this a voltron deck since he's already swinging for 12 commander damage, so using cleverer tactics like infect, Berserk, Wine of Blood and Iron and Nantuko Mentor were kind of the general idea to just obliterate an opponent.
Also, for Omnath, he's not the general, lol, and won't be in the final product, I just used a placeholder since Ghalta isn't in the database yet. This is a deck I built today specifically for Ghalta, Primal Hunger.

hey it's your boy hydracord from your ap european class. now to make this deck as degenerate as possible to the point where it doesn't become fun anymore.
Colossus of Akros: 18 mana is better funneled into a Genesis Wave.
Courser of Kruphix: You should have a higher density of dorks to get turn 2 Selvala out, and Courser is 2 turns behind on that.
Gyre Sage: Pretty redundant once you have Selvala or your dorks out.
Mistcutter Hydra: Dumb beater that's susceptible to all types of removal.
Protean Hydra: Same deal as Mistcutter Hydra. Most removal spells don't come from damage spells, so it's not going to be immune to most removal.
Chariot of Victory, Fleetfeather Sandals: Concordant Crossroads is better than both of these.
Roar of Challenge: I've never seen this card drawn or played ever. Regardless of that, I don't think it's that good once you go to an LGS since people there have spellslinger decks.
Oran-Rief: Your creatures are fucking huge. You don't need them to be slightly huger.
Tranquil Thicket can just be a basic.
Skyshroud Claim gets significantly worse in a mono-colored deck. Play more dorks instead.
Vorinclex will end the game more often than not. You can also cast him ridiculously early.
Scryb Ranger, Wirewood Symbiote, Quirion Ranger, Thousand-Year Elixir: I know that you don't wanna play these, but hear me out. Wirewood Lodge is probably one of the scariest cards in your entire deck. Now imagine if you had 5 of them.
Duskwatch Recruiter: Efficient filtering early game and allows you to pump infinite mana into him so you can cast every creature in your deck.
Song of the Dryads is nice removal.
Woodland Bellower: Great toolbox card, but you should probably grab Phyrexian Dreadnought and its friends with it 99% of the time.
Fierce Empath: Tutors for something big and something that'll probably win you the game.
Vigor, while expensive, is a fucking insane card.
Heroic Intervention will save your stuff from wraths, removal, and MLD. Using it for removal is probably the most applicable case, though.
Triumph of the Hordes because there's no kill like overkill.

It's up to you to make your deck comp work, making sure you're running the right number of creatures/ramp/draw/removal/misc. So I'll just give you a list of cards that I think are generally weak, and you can make of it what you will.

What do you think about the new green god - Rhonas?
He seems very good for this deck. 5/5 body for 2G with infinite mana sink ability and indestructible included. I don't know wheter it would replace Ravaging Riftwurm or something else, but it seems nice, doesn't it?
