Pegasus Guardian

Creature — Pegasus

Flying

At the beginning of your end step, if a permanent you controlled left the battlefield this turn, create a 1/1 white Pegasus creature token with flying.

(You may cast Pegasus Guardian from exile if you sent it on an adventure.)

Rescue the Foal

Instant — Adventure

Exile target creature you control, then return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control. (Then send this card on an Adventure in exile. You may cast this creature from exile.)

(You may cast Rescue the Foal for from anywhere that you have the permission to cast it, then exile it on an adventure instead of putting it into your graveyard. When you have not chosen to cast Rescue the Foal and put it on the stack, this card is treated only as Pegasus Guardian in whatever zone it is in.)

(When not exiled on an adventure, Adventure cards function identically to modal double faced cards when regarding to the interactions of cards that look at them or attempt to cast them.)

SteelSentry on Does WotC Still Support Flickering …

There's usually a couple cards a set that do it if it's not a full draft archetype; Unfinity had Now You See Me ..., DMU had Golden Argosy, and it was the UW draft theme in Baldur's Gate, with cards like Oji, the Exquisite Blade, Displacer Kitten and Pegasus Guardian.

If anything, the use of Phasing seems sparing and careful. I can't remember any recent phasing cards besides Slip Out the Back.

Excalibur478 Thanks! I'm really glad you like the deck, a friend of mine used to play a Brago deck years ago and I remember I hated playing against it, so I really tried to make something more interesting lol

I haven't playtested this one that much yet, but the weakest aspect is definitely closing out the game. Currently the main wincon is token generation with Blessed Sanctuary, Myr Battlesphere, Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, Whirler Rogue, Blade Splicer and Pegasus Guardian, but I found that it's actually pretty slow. Approach of the Second Sun is a good backup wincon, but it paints a huge target on your back so it's better if you can redraw it quickly or lock down the board, and the deck is quite good at both os those things.

The deck can't protect the board very well against wipes, only having Eerie Interlude as protection or maybe a counterspell, but it can rebuild pretty consistently after one given how much card advantage it can generate.

Getting creatures tapped so Far Traveler can blink them isn't really an issue but can be a problem sometimes, so I've been thinking about adding more tap effects, although this can also be solved by breaking the budget a bit and adding more blink enablers like Conjurer's Closet

Thanks again for the comment and the upvote! If you have any more questions or maybe some suggestions, I'm all ears :)

I did get a draft of Baldur's Gate in. Since my store has a plethora of prerelease packs they kept using those, so I just drafted around my promo, Gorion, Wise Mentor. In hindsight I should not have passed so many Pegasus Guardianes and leaned into the blink theme, but somehow I came second in my pod. Mostly thanks to Basilisk Collar's lifegain. Ultimately I lost the damage race at the end because of the Trap! room. If nothing else, watching one opponent draw seventeen cards off an Ancient Silver Dragon only to die as someone else plays and kills their own Balor was worth the price of the draft.
