Main Senario: I've had a Deadeye Tracker out for most of the game and have activated it a number of times. I also have a Rona, Disciple of Gix on board. I cast metamorphic alteration (a card in core set 2019 https://www.cardkingdom.com/catalog/search?search=header&filter%5Bname%5D=%22Metamorphic+Alteration%22&ac=1) targeting Deadeye Tracker and choose to make it a copy of Rona. Can I then cast cards exiled with it from before it was enchanted.

How does this work with cast triggers such as Oblivion Sower, additional costs Gurmag Angler or coming out of the graveyard such as with Scrapheap Scrounger? What if they are exiled face down, e.g. Gonti, Lord of Luxury or Bomat Courier? How much bigger would the Deadeye Tracker be in the above situation if it became a copy of a Bishop of Binding? Could you use Admonition Angel to get all the cards exiled by Painbringer onto the battlefield?

Darkersun: I'm glad you like the deck! To be honest, it's not fully updated right now, so I have to re-upload it including the changes before I can really answer your questions. But in the meantime...

I'll test out Phyrexian Plaguelord! It doesn't suffer from summoning sickness, and it can be used multiple times in a turn cycle. However, the extra mana is a surprisingly large deal, and my graveyard is usually a more plentiful resource than the number of creatures I have on the battlefield. After all, nearly 2/5 of my graveyard will be lands, which are (usually) useless sitting there - Painbringer turns them into removal spells.

Deadeye Navigator has now been included in the deck, and he's proven his worth repeatedly. I don't remember what I cut to include him, but I'll get back to you on that.

I would rather play Reclamation Sage over Acidic Slime (lower CMC, less color commitment, I don't usually hit lands), but you're right that they're fantastic cards that might deserve a place here. Also, Terastodon somewhat fulfills this role already, though of course he's not really hardcastable.

I'd avoid Decimator of the Provinces (doesn't get its triggered ability when reanimated from the graveyard), but the only reason that Craterhoof Behemoth isn't in here yet is money, to be honest. I'd love to include him and Mogis's Marauder to alpha attack out of nowhere off of a mass reanimation spell :)

I'm glad you like the deck, and I'd love to take a look through your variant if you want! If you like the deck, you're always welcome to give a +1 ;)

How about replacing Painbringer with Phyrexian Plaguelord? He has a better body, cost only one more, has a sac option and instead of exiling cards from the graveyard, you can use tokens to use its -1/-1 ability.

Is there a specific reason behind Painbringer, that I don't get?

Great deck btw, I run it with some minimal changes :)

TheGrayMerchant: Yeah, Lord of Extinction is a pretty amazing card, and I really should add it. The only issue I've had with playtesting it is that it's a pain to make everyone count their graveyard, haha. It should probably go back in, yeah.

I've never really considered Earthcraft in here before! That's...really interesting. I wonder how that would work here. Do I have enough basics to make it reliable? It would certainly give me enough mana to combo earlier if so.

I'll pass on Lotleth Troll, though. Haunted Dead can do it without having to be on the battlefield :) Painbringer has proven to be strong (lands in my GY are usually dead cards unless I have a Worm Harvest) and can pick off even large creatures pretty easily, but I'll definitely consider him for cuts :)

I think Lord of Extinction could be a pretty good creature in the deck to pair with Jarad. For beating graveyard hate, Abrupt Decay and Krosan Grip are my go-to spells, due to decay's ability to hit most hate (Cage, Relic, and RIP), and grip's ability to hit LOTV and Tormod's Crypt. One infinite combo that is albeit kind of cute is infinite squirrels with Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest. A creature that can help dump your big stuff into the grave would be Lotleth Troll.

For cuts, the only thing I can really see you cutting would be Painbringer, as it exiles stuff from the grave when you really want to be bringing stuff back from the grave.

Other than those little things to tweak, this deck looks amazing! I would not want to see this at the other side of the table.

I don't think I suggested Diminishing Returns. My bad if it popped up somewhere. I was pointing out that Painbringer acts very similarly to the exile clause of the card, and trying to make a joke by planting the card as an explanation.

I play far less ramp; it works. Understandable meta call on Bojuka Bog. I see the reasoning for Sewer Nemesis as well. I suppose I'll leave it up to you to find room, from experience with the deck.

Sorry if this was a bit coarse. I've had a bad day or two and don't have much time today. Later this week, would you be available for a game as you suggested some time ago?

Fair point. I had forgotten Laboratory Maniac and the need to draw a single card. I, and my friends, tend to use 36 or 37 lands. I believe it would be fairly manageable for you. I think I would suggest either a basic Island or Bojuka Bog, for cases where they have and Aegis of the Gods you can't get rid of or play something that doesn't allow themselves a graveyard.

Otherwise, Painbringer could be removed for its Diminishing Returns as this deck has ways to get back nearly anything from the graveyard. Sewer Nemesis could be removed for a reason similar to Splinterfright, on the occasions where it could not be played, and could be killed by graveyard shuffling.
