Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo Discussion
As I mentioned before: Kor Haven and Reconnaissance come to mind first. for me 33 land is just not enough. I know sometimes you feel like you get mana flooded but thats why we want a bunch of ways to draw cards. As long as you are drawing gas you'll have something to spend the mana on. I would never run less than 35 lands in most commander decks and if my commander costs 5 or more I'm almost always at 37 + 10 ways to ramp. It may seem like a lot but id rather have too many resources than not enough.
You currently have like 14 "ramp" cards. I would add in 4 more land and lose 4 of the ramp cards my cuts would be Gilded Lotus, Charcoal Diamond, Azorius Keyrune and Orbs of Warding. Orbs isn't a ramp spell so that would leave you with 37 land and 11 ramp cards.
I know you are going for a rat sub-theme but if I'm being honest a lot of rat cards don't do much after they come into play. I think without your couple of rats matter cards a lot of your creatures will feel lack luster when you play them. I would consider losing this theme and just playing more explosive cards with odd mana costs.
Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo seems out of place and easy to cut. Let me know if you had it there for a reason.
In the end overall consider that yennett is letting you play spells for free you really want to feel like you got value out of it. It will feel bad when you flip over a 1 drop 1/1 or some

Hello again! I would like to take this time to show support for Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo .
Some of you may remember me from the Elsha cEDH post above. But my funsie EDH deck is in fact Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo If the admins of this particular list would care to like it and potentially post it (Do mind you, this is NOT Yojimbo at its maximum potential. So there are no tutors besides Land Tax) Then I would be grateful. Also, for those interested in building him, this is a good primer for building a deck geared around him.
Yojimbo's Sanctions And thank you for your time and patronage.

What's your opinion on Harm's Way ? It can possibly one-and-a-half-for-one the opponent by making them burn their own critters. Goblin Guide , Grim Lavamancer and Eidolon of the Great Revel all get btfo. Monastery Swiftspear is the only common creature that could survive it.
Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo has an effect that might be useful to the strategy: it can soak Lava Spike s and other player-only damage (unlike Spellskite ), and can't be countered by Skullcrack (unlike prevention and lifegain). And while on the subject of damage redirection, Empyrial Archangel would be nearly impossible for Burn to win through. And it can be pulled out with Angel's Herald if you can run Bant colors. This is might be too slow for modern, and might require too much of a rework.
One amusing possibility might be Hedron-Field Purists . With one counter on it, it turns all their Lightning Bolt into Shock . It also hates Grapeshot , Empty the Warrens and Walking Ballista , potentially making this more competitive against other decks.

I'm testing following cards atm:
Others: A second Cavern of Souls for a Human/Angels only deck

My question in regards to this deck is why Arcades, the Strategist instead of another bant commander such as Derevi, Empyrial Tactician? Arcades synergizes with defender cards. Of which you have only 1, which is Dragon Throne of Tarkir.
If you want to use Arcades, I recommend more defender cards such as: Tree of Redemption, Ageless Sentinels, Wall of Blossoms, Colossus of Akros, Golden Guardian Flip, Hornet Nest, Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo, Thing in the Ice Flip, Sylvan Caryatid, Wall of Reverence, Amaranthine Wall, Assault Formation, Carven Caryatid, Dazzling Ramparts, Gomazoa, Guard Gomazoa, Hover Barrier, Just to name a few.
Good luck to you!

You're missing some of the best samurai, friend! You should get a set of Samurai of the Pale Curtain as well as a fourth Hand of Honor. They can get a lot of early damage in and outfight other creatures for most of the game. Konda's Hatamoto is another creature I'd strongly recommend four of - it's quite easy to have a legendary samurai in play cheaply. It's flat-out better than Inner-Chamber Guard, for instance.
I'd also try to get a copy or two of Sensei Golden-Tail in there, as he's a two-mana legendary for the Hatamoto, and also gives you something to do with your mana later on. You can keep targeting the same creature with his ability to keep giving them more instances of bushido (having bushido 1 three times is identical to having bushido 3, for instance.) Maybe run a single Kentaro, the Smiling Cat, too - not because you'll need his ability, but it's worth making sure the Hatamoto is buffed! I dunno if Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo is any good, but, um... he's cool.
Lastly, Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho seems like an obvious inclusion. The +3 power will let your mid-sized creatures compete even in the late game, and since they're all samurai, even trades in combat will become favourable for you. Try it out!
