Ondu War Cleric Discussion

I'm going to make hella recommendations for cards here. I'm not really sure what your budget is so I'll include cards that fall into the budget and non budget categories (Non budget mostly being a reasonable price, not the most optimal cards that tend to cost a ton of money.)
Mana Base Show
Next is your mana base, you have the Ally Encampments which is good, but I would look into picking up a playset of dual lands to round out the manabase a little more. My go to budget option is: Scoured Barrens
Deck Focus and How Many Copies to Play Show
TLDR: Every deck has themes that it uses to acheive it's goals, a deck can have sub-themes as well. For example, this is a Drain Deck with life gain and ally sub-themes. Almost every card should in some way compliment AT LEAST one of these strategies, Ideally every single card compliments the main theme, and builds upon one of the sub-themes. However, exceptions can be made. The question you have to ask yourself is: Does this card compliment my main theme? If not, is this card strong enough on it's own to warrent weakening my main theme
I'll give you the following advice, but I'll be vague so you can apply the theory yourself. I think that you have too many copies of Ondu Cleric but I don't think you should drop all of them. You should have at most 4 cards that cost 5 Mana. Cards that only serve to gain life are worth running only if they get incredibly powerful.
Cards you should know exist Show
PS: You have 61 cards rn

FluffyStormwise that is a good card but i dont have it. the Ondu War Cleric is the best i got for life gain not counting Lantern Scout though Ondu Cleric is common so there is a good chance i might pull one but i'd like two of them.

First off, welcome to Magic!
First improvement I would recommend making: improve your mana base. Cascading Cataracts does nothing for your deck, and should be cut. For a budget option, I would recommend adding four copies of Caves of Koilos and four copies of Tainted Field. Neither is particularly expensive, and will drastically improve your colour fixing.
Overall, I think you have too many cards that cost you 6+ mana--perhaps cut a few of your higher end cards, and add more easy-to-cast zombies. Zombies are a fairly aggressive tribe, so tend to work best when you flood the board with a massive horde in the early game.
I would also recommend running 4 copies of your most powerful/important low-mana-cost cards. Then run 3 copies of a bit higher costed cards. Your finishers--high costed cards that seal your victory--should generally be the only cards where you only run 1 or 2 copies.
Here are some suggestions of cards you might want to consider adding:
Tidehollow Sculler is a pretty decent card as you can disrupt your opponents' plans by exiling the next card they are likely to cast.
Endless Ranks of the Dead is a very fun win condition in a zombie deck.
Diregraf Colossus is quite a good card in zombies. In the early game, it comes in as a low power creature that will provide you numerous tokens as the game progresses. In the late game, it enters as a powerful creature and strong finisher.
Here are some cards I recommend cutting:
Ondu War Cleric is a bad card, as you have to tap two creatures for a paltry two life. Further, you cannot actually use the card, as you are not running any other Allies.
Never / Return is not that great. Sorcery speed removal is less than ideal, and spenind 4 mana for a 2/2 is pretty insignificant. Exiling a card from a graveyard is powerful against certain decks, but there are generally better ways to do this, if that is of concern to you.
Stir the Sands is pretty mediocre. You are spending either 6 mana for 3 vanilla (lacking an ability) 2/2s, or 4 mana for one vanilla 2/2, and replacing the card in your hand. Neither are particularly good deals.
Cruel Reality is not that great of a card. 7 mana is an extremely high amount of mana to play for something that does not outright win you the game. By the time you have 7 mana, they probably (a) have some extra creature to spare, and (b) the game is already close to the end of the game, and will not last long enough for Cruel Reality to make much of a difference.
Hope some of this helps!

here are a couple of suggestions for you for an ally deck:
Captain's Claws. a good ally token generator when the creature attacks, which is most likely.
Chasm Guide. why would you not give everyone haste from an ETB effect?
Zada's Commando. a great way to do cheap damage to a creature or player.
Metallic Mimic. give all your allies an additional +1/+1. plus gain any ETB effects other allies would get/give.
Expedition Envoy a cheap ally creature good for scouting out what's ahead early on.

I strongly recommend upping Kalastria Healer to x4 and probably Zulaport Cutthroat too. Bontu's Monument could be great and fits your theme and Eerie Interlude to maximize the healer's ability. Definitely take out the Retreat to Hagra and Ondu War Cleric IMO. Good luck!

Nephylos I started running 4 Dazzling Reflection I added one Altar's Reap also and I found it very useful. I added 2 Prophetic Prism and they are great for the draw and potential mana. I went against my aggro deck earlier before making changes and lost every time. But after making the changes I went 5-1 winning 5 straight before the first lost. I got rid of Ondu War Cleric and replaced it with 4 Expedition Envoy Because they are just 1 mana to cast it makes for a good early block or a good combo if you have 1-2 Kalastria Healer and a Panharmonicon. I have 1 Battle at the Bridge and it came in handy in two matches.
I've won a bit without the Panharmonicon also but I love it when I get 2-3 Trespasser's Curse out early then get a Panharmonicon. It's an easy win from there. Chaplain's Blessing has been a lifesaver too. I have 4 of them and it's nice to also do a bit of damage if you have a Cliffhaven Vampire out.
