Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 as long as it's an enchantment. Otherwise, it gets -2/-2.

Looks good, man. I have been working on my own version of Pharika Enchantress. Here are some ideas:

Color fixing / Ramp

  • Abundant Growth fixes mana and draws 2 with an enchantress in play.
  • Fertile Ground, Overgrowth are classic aura ramp.
  • Elemental Resonance in any deck that plays a green God from Theros.
  • Draw

  • Mourning, Whipsilk are draw engines in your deck.
  • Bequeathal two cards for 1 mana.
  • Casting of Bones fits the theme and let's you dig deep.
  • Phyrexian Arena, Dark Tutelage, Underworld Connections, Greed provide steady card draw throughout the game.
  • Fruit of the First Tree as a flavorful alternative to Harmony?
  • Creatures

  • Curse of Disturbance free armies are good.
  • Druid's Call on Pharika would also be good.
  • Verdant Embrace can be even better.
  • Genju of the Fens is a mana sink that dodges sorcery speed mass removal that could also help you close out the late game.
  • Power boost

  • Exoskeletal Armor, Nighthowler, Herald of Torment, Eternal Thirst give you a significantly better chance at winning with commander damage.
  • Removal

  • Gift of the Deity is a one sided wrath every turn if Pharika is online.
  • Lingering Death gets rid of Avacyn, Eldrazi, and other annoying indestructible things.
  • Nyx Infusion is a flavor win.
  • Traveling Plague moves fast in a multiplayer game.
  • Toolbox

  • Shade's Form is one of those hidden gem cards. Mana sink or Mind Control. Not bad for three mana.
  • Spreading Algae can act as TechEdge on crack. I mean, I see Urborg in like 90% of my games. Algae will do some work.
  • Unnatural Hunger not great against token armies but can be solid against other decks.

Absolutely recommend two copies of Pestilence. Provides double black devotion, and is a staple of the monoblack control archetype. Grim Guardian and Gary both are resilient enough to take three damage each, which will wipe out any smaller creatures your opponents have.

Shade's Form also provides double devotion and either recurs your creature once, or you can steal something from your opponent.

Nyx Infusion could be good for this list, since you can actually use it to buff some of your creatures.

I recommend cutting 4x Soul Bleed and 2x Stab Wound for 2x Pestilence 2x Shade's Form and 2x Nyx Infusion. Soul Bleed is a pretty bad card.

Pr-release weekend makes me sick... it's like a mini anime convention except you can't enjoy the product alone with tissues or a loved one.

Anyways Sigarda's Aid and Collective Defiance seem pushed to me. Not saying they are going to see play just that they are good.

The set is very subtle about it but a lot of cards are going back to designs similar to very old magic cards. For example Boon of Emrakul. It's very well costed.. until you consider that it's a removal spell and a buff spell at the same time. Something that the great ones don't do very often. Then you have Lunar Force which we were all gaga over but then abandoned. Thing is the card can still be used to put locks on people. Maybe not in Standard but in a 1v1 EDH environment it can do work with cards like Arcane Laboratory on the field. Shreds of Sanity seems pretty bad but it does get you back two spells for . The closest comparison is Mystic Retrieval which costs a total of .

Then lets look at Displace. That is a VERY effect. I mean yes there was Deadeye Navigator the greatest blinker ever, but if we're talking about spells then Displace is much more similar to Cloudshift, Eerie Interlude, Ghostway, and Liberate. only gets these types of effects when paired in a set where gets them, and before had to have in the cost as well. It's definitely a color bend and almost feels like a color break.

The set doesn't "look" or "feel" very interesting to me froma Dev standpoint (it's way to cute in the figurative sense) but what the mechanics are doing is very fun. Well fun isn't the right word there either... I'm the type of MTG player though that wants to really tax my brain when I play MTG and prioritize that over "fun". These cards I mentioned before go back to that old-school design feeling.

I just wonder why they couldn't have printed something functionally similar to Boon of Emrakul when Fleecemane Lion and Constellation were a thing. I mean Nyx Infusion was garbage and we all know it.
