Naya Soulbeast Discussion

Arnaud I really appreciate your suggestions! However, keep in mind this is a creature focused deck. Worldspine Wurm might seem bad, but this deck gets alot of mana, and casting it ensures I can play whatever nonland I might pull for free. And copying that creature with Rite of Replication on kicker and copied with Insidious Will (though I'm not running that anymore) for a total of 11 Worldspine Wurms might not be terribly efficient, but that's the kind of Timmy play I'm going for here! Same thing with Naya Soulbeast, in a multiplayer game it usually goes off, but I can always copy it for half the mana to get a second one. The Great Aurora is a good suggestion, but then I'd simply need to replace it with a better board wipe (which I won't do since this one is fun and almost always keeps me ahead while resetting the board) so I can't drop it as one of the four that need be dropped. Lorthos, the Tidemaker is another good suggestion, one that I'll really consider, but I do like the idea of having a mono blue power house creature.

which 4 cards should I drop?

--> i suggest to drop the biggest Converted mana cost (exept from the cards with alternate cost, obviously) :

Worldspine Wurm : cost too much and can never be played freely with Rashmi

The Great Aurora : in a mono green deck, this card is good, but there's better options with blue if you want to reset the board

Naya Soulbeast : maybe it's beacause i play duel but this card has never impressed me.

Lorthos, the Tidemaker : i LOVE this card, but... but... with Rasmi it's note really that effective because it prevents you to use your mana for casting a lot of spells. Lorthos is better when you have few cards in hand.

I hope my suggestions can help ;) don't hesitate to look at my latest decks (Odric and Tana/Thrasios) and give me yours ;)++

LeonDaniels on Yisan's Elvish Sing-Along - $75 budget EDH

So looking back over the deck, I realized a small issue. Naya Soulbeast's effect is on cast not ETB, which means if you tutor him out using Yisan, the Wanderer Bard you don't get to pop his effect, immediately sending him to the graveyard... One possible solution would be to put in Craterhoof Behemoth, who would blow your budget quite a bit, but would definitely be worth it in my opinion. He fills out the 8-cost spot in the same way that Naya Soulbeast would, and he's still a beast. Win win! If you do end up putting Craterhoof Behemoth in, it might be worth investing in Avenger of Zendikar as another possible won condition, or Wolfbriar Elemental going down the "Ramp" path. Congratulations on your win, and good luck in future games!

Now I can't help you with Legacy, or Legacy tournaments, as neither are within my realm of knowledge, but you sound like you'd enjoy EDH. If you don't know, you pick a legendary creature as you 'Commander' and build a 99-card singleton deck within their colours, it's a format full of multiplayer politics, ramp, and bug creatures!

If you're interested there are more rules you can find

So a great commander could be Gahiji, Honored One, who encourages aggressive behavior and your opponent's to attack anyone else.

Some cool beast cards you don't have on the list are Canopy Crawler, Contested Cliffs, Ezuri's Predation, Fresh Meat, Garruk Wildspeaker, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Godsire, Gruul Ragebeast, Gruul Keyrune, Naya Soulbeast,Rampaging Baloths, Ravenous Baloth, Soul of Zendikar, Spawning Grounds, Thresher Beast, and Wirewood Savage!!

Now I might not include all of these, as their mana cost can be quite high, and you can't always hit that Quicksilver Amulet, but EDH allows you to casually play a cool non-competitive tribe like Beasts with your friends and still had lots of fun.
