+1 I got it up to 269, nice

Mystic Archaeologist and Sphinx of Magosi seem very expensive for card draw, even if the former is a wizard. Blue has better draw to consider IMO.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx - Ramp

Cavern of Souls - Anti counterspell

Is your primary ramp goingto be coming from fetching additional lands or from rocks/dorks (not that you can't have both)? This will give you a bit of an idea about filling out the ramp portion of the deck.

For any permission based deck, having repeatable card draw is super important. Cards like Mystic Archaeologist and Whispers of the Muse will be good for sinking lots of mana into. You may also want to look into cards like Prismite to help you convert the stored colourless mana back into coloured mana.

Using Llanowar Envoy you can convert the green into blue and white. Once you hit 7/7 on Marwyn, the Nurturer you generate on extra mana every cycle. Then you use the mana on Mystic Archaeologist to find Banefire and win the game.

Mystic Archaeologist is both sweet value and flavorful for this deck's title!

You are very correct about the 2 drop slot. I was having the same trouble with mine. Mystic Archaeologist and League Guildmage seemed too slow. Ended up running Wee Dragonauts and some 1 mana cantrips. I moved my Wizard's Retort to the sideboard.

I'm working on a post-rotation Mill deck based around Psychic Corrosion and Patient Rebuilding.

Still gotta see what Ravnica brings us...

Obviously we won't have anything but Ixalan on up, so Amonkhet and Kaladesh cards are not to be included. I'm waiting for some of them juicy Ravnica spoilers to be revealed though because if the deck is going to work we need something from that set to fit it. Especially more draw triggerers.

Mystic Archaeologist is nice.

Surge Mare / Wall of Mist / Shore Keeper / Tempest Djinn so far are my wall/defenders to keep us in play long enough to mill.

Been contemplating The Immortal Sun but at 6 mana it's kind of steep for what is basically a Dictate of Kruphix effect for this deck. It's obviously a powerful card though and does wonders against decks utilizing planeswalkers though it's vulnerable to eat removal right away.

Curator's Ward gives your Enchantments some removal protection. Not used for the draw clause but if you get use out of it all the better.

So far if you're not playing some form of hybrid control mill it's just not going to work. Play corrosion/rebuilding combo, kill everything or control everything, and draw your way to victory. Not enough draw triggers currently though.

And as for control mill that's not what I want to do though. I want a mill deck not a control deck with secondary mill. You end up doing more controlling than milling and if you’re going to focus on control then you would be better served to just have a beater creature finish them off the normal way.

Other Ideas I've contemplated for this mill deck;

Riverwise Augur + Naban, Dean of Iteration is a nice little ETB combo. Draw 6 cards mill 12 off their deck. Set up your next 4 draws. Allows you to get more from other ETB effects too paired with a Naban. Like Skyscanner and Silvergill Adept. Especially if using cards like Siren's Ruse to bounce and repeat the ETB effects. This is not very good but it is a different route to go.

Howling Golem

Fleet Swallower

Nezahal, Primal Tide punishes them for playing any Noncreature spell. It's costly though and I don't see it fitting in our curve.

In general health gain cards are considered pretty bad as they don't actually influence the board. Adding any other creatures like Omenspeaker (getting to your needed cards more reliable) or Wall of Mist will most of the time safe you more health than the health gain card by throwing themself infront of creatures. Extra Blink of an Eyes will probably pay off as they allow you to replay some of the enter the battlefield effects you have or keep scary stuff away. More counters might be nice as well Essence Scatter is a common and very nice against big and even small creatures. More board cleares are always nice not because you are gonna play 4 a game but because you always want at least one every game. A reliable card draw engine is something very nice and i see you have jace but having other recurring card draw is needed in this deck as an easy reliable card draw engine that is quite budget i would recommend Mystic Archaeologist and this deck screams for Patient Rebuilding but that already was suggested.
