Morningtide

Sorcery

Remove all cards in all graveyards from the game.

Hi smiffdemon, Ground Seal doesn't actually stop Bojuka Bog and Leyline of the Void because those cards don't target the graveyard. Cards like Witchbane Orb and Orbs of Warding would stop Bojuka but not Leyline, Scavenger Grounds, Sentinel Totem, Relic of Progenitus, Rest in Peace, or Morningtide. The best way to play against graveyard hate is to just treat the graveyard as bonus card draw that you fill incrementally as needed rather than dump half your library into.

I really enjoy pillow fort decks. I wanted to do one myself.

In place of Morningtide can be replaced by Scavenger Grounds. Dictate of Kruphix can get cut, only because card advantage is the most important thing in Commander. I think Profane Procession  Flip is just ok, I would just cut it for more mill cards or anti attack/block enchantments or Porphyry Nodes. War Tax Eats up a ton of mana and can be replaced with Pendrell Mists mega punishhment

Draw engines are really scary when it comes to commander as well Howling Mine can allow me to draw into Bane of Progress Cleansing Meditation and swing the game in my favor. Rhystic Study Mystic Remora Consecrated Sphinx are all so unfair, and it makes so that you're the only beneficiary.

Recovery Open the Vaults Replenish will help you recover from an implosion. Greater Auramancy is a potential upgrade for the future, expensive but very nice. Also if you make the deck more enchantment heavy Sigil of the Empty Throne is super fun Runed Halo and Nevermore are really mean against someones commanders as well.

Win Cons Aetherflux Reservoir. Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension is an infinite combo. Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood is infinite and can be triggered from your commander while not even on the field.

Mill additions Altar of Dementia Hedron Crab Fraying Sanity also, I know Phenax seems awesome but its mana intensive and very difficult to get it trucking.

I honestly would be okay with that, since there has to be a draw back when facing effects like those. I run a few graveyard decks where spells like Rest in Peace is a death sentence. Of course I have ways to remove the enchantment, but removing it won't bring my cards back without this. It's mainly to help against one time effects like Morningtide, Tormod's Crypt, Nihil Spellbomb, Bojuka Bog, Relic of Progenitus, etc.

Oh yea, if you ever run into problematic mill effects, or graveyard hate. Learn from the Past is instant speed so you can respond to a Morningtide or Burn Away (even though I'm pretty sure I'm the only one using those.)

But it can also be grabbed with Mystic Retrieval if you're being milled out too fast and need a reset.

Also Burn Away if you run into graveyard strategies. It's big enough to hit a Rune-Scarred Demon or Sun Titan and instant speed. A pretty underrated gem if I do say so, it doesn't draw any hate from the entire table like Rest in Peace does.

I think you're not running enough proactive spells to sling at your opponents. Prophetic Bolt and Slagstorm both pull double duty, but it looks like most of your deck is behaving almost like a combo. You've got a lot of draw, loot, and filtering to find Twincast Mana Geyser and dump it all into a Comet Storm effect.

I think dropping an Urza's Rage in their will round out your burn suite.

And depending on how deep you want to go into shenanigans, Perplexing Chimera, and Rite of Replication combo with themselves and give you any spell at the table.

I really, really like Melek, UR is definitely my favorite 2 color combo. I'm considering building a deck for him in the future which would run pretty much every lightning bolt and copy spell to burn my opponents faces.

No problem flluid.

Armageddon and Ruination are really good but might make people salty. Red also has Boil and Boiling Seas if your meta is just dumbies with Counterspells. If blue spells annoy you then also get a Defense Grid or Price of Glory since Grand Abolisher is a measly hooman. Haste helps too, so Fervor, In the Web of War or Urabrask the Hidden might be good

I wouldn't imagine running a gisela deck without Heartless Hidetsugu but this is a angel tribal deck after all. My Zombie tribal has 1 or 2 non zombies in it though so its up to you.

If you like the wear and tear it can still be good, as a control player I just come from the mindset that if you are playing white you should be exiling or wrathing everything even if they are artifacts or enchantments. I tend to opt for things like Revoke Existence or Aura of Silence

Keep in mind that your general can also doom laser everyone with Earthquake, Rolling Earthquake, Fault Line, Molten Disaster, Comet Storm, and Pyrohemia.

Angel of Finality, Rest in Peace and Morningtide can be useful if someone is doing something degenerate like Reanimateing It That Betrays with a Smokestack out. the last two might not work well with your reanimation but sometimes its needed. Tormod's Crypt always works too.

Scroll Rack + Land Tax = Ancestral Recalling a bunch of times

Non Budget suggestion that are still absurdly good are Wheel of Fortune, Blood Moon,Sneak Attack, and Moat. Most of these spells have budget magus counterparts (Magus of the Wheel, Magus of the Moon, Magus of the Moat) but Magus of the Sneak Attack would be far too insane.

If you need more draw or ramp just ask. I have a bunch I can tell you about. I hope this helped :)

An easy first pick today:

The rest of the pack was nice too. As expected, black set was black, with cards like Shade's Form, Enslaved Dwarf, and Anurid Scavenger. We got two of the "disorder" enchantments (Pyromania and Narcissism). And we were super-pleased to get one of the Madness cards, Basking Rootwalla ( for a 1/1? Heck yeah!)

Best flavor text of the pack was probably the Pardic Lancer, though the calendar has had better.

However we may have cracked a new worst card, so far: Aven Trooper. Blurgh. I don't know though: Mwonvuli Ooze or Aven Trooper? Hmm ...
