Moment of Triumph Discussion

This deck has a weird mana curve and probably too little lands. With an average cmc of 2.42 you need at least 23 lands (Though I'd run 24 to consistently cast Form). Since this is a relatively slow version of creature based midrange, I'd also cut a bunch of low impact cards (Fanatical Firebrand, Ajani's Welcome, Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, Moment of Triumph) to max out on good removal like Cast Out, Abrade, and Seal Away. Also you don't need SIX protection spells, so I'd just cut Make a Stand and Sheltering Light for more creatures. For the sideboard, Lena, Selfless Champion is garbage and Chainwhirler is to hard to cast. Take them out for Authority of the Consuls and more removal.

The problem with Honor Guard in this scenario is that it's only actually saving one creature. I'm less concerned with losing one or two of my early creatures sometimes and more concerned with losing my whole board later on. And I'm not willing to cripple the deck's whole strategy just to deal with a Chainwhirler coming down when I've only had the chance to spend three Mana anyway. Marshal is good at all points in every matchup. Honor Guard is only really good when I'm turn 2 on the draw against a deck playing Chainwhirler that happens to have a Chainwhirler in it's first 9 cards that game. That's too specific. Maybe Honor Guard is worth it in the sideboard if there are enough critical ETB creatures that screw us up, but I really don't think we're there right now.
Knight of Grace really isn't good enough for the main deck. I've tested him extensively and he's just lackluster. A 2/2 first strike get blanked by 2/3, just like the rest of the board, and even a 3/3 first strike can't attack in profitably against two 2/2s. Drillmaster almost always gives us a good attack. Knight of Grace doesn't, not unless we're facing a Black deck.
I've also tested Pride of Conquerors and while we do hit City's Blessing eventually, it isn't consistent enough for us to get +2/+2 when we need it and +1/+1 is rarely enough to win combat. I was running Moment of Triumph for a while and it was fine, but even +2/+2 isn't consistently what we need. Maybe Charge could work as anti-Chainwhirler tech from the sideboard but it's just such a situational card. I'd rather keep my anthem effects tacked on to things we're ok with playing anyway, like lands and 3/3s for 3.
Leonin Warleader is pretty sweet but I'm not convinced we can swing 4-drops (and yes, I know, Cast Out, but that cycles). I'm concerned that Warleader is just going to get stuck in hand. And anyway, this deck's problem tends to be big creatures but Warleader doesn't solve that problem. He's still likely to get eaten in his fist attack. That said, it might be worth testing as a 2-of.

Hey, looks great, one of the best Standard Cat decks I have seen on TappedOut, nice work. Like the additions of Mentor and Destiny.
I think mono white is the way to go. Selesnya doesn't give you enough to warrant a much worse manabase. Blossoming Defense is the only reason I would play green, but it requires Forests in the manabase. Pride Sovereign is the another reason to play green, but I think both Mentor and Destiny are better three drops here. Destiny an early game anthem to fight Chainwhirler and Mentor for draw.
Consider Prepare? It's an instant combat trick that gives the creature lifelink, nice with Pridemate. Having a trick is helpful when facing Goblin Chainwhirler since he brick walls with first strike the entire attacking Cats strategy until you have removal, Warleader or a big enough Pridemate to break through. You can cast Prepare without having to also cast Fight. Fight can just stay in the graveyard until you want to use it. Splash 4x Sunpetal Grove for Fight if you want to, but it's honestly not even needed.
Another option that's only white is Moment of Triumph. Instant, only one mana and you gain 2 life. More likely to gain life with Triumph because the creature doesn't have to do damage in combat like with Prepare, but Prepare can gain a ton more life than Triumph if the creature gets to do damage. One mana makes Triumph more consistent to save a creature from Chainwhirler's ETB ability before you can get Destiny into play. It's much easier to leave up one mana for a trick than two.
Leonin Vanguard is very lackluster even with Pridemate I suggest cutting one or more for at least a fourth Warleader and a third Mentor. I would suggest to add another Ajani, but because of budget that's probably not an option.
Pridmate, Warleader and Mentor is a three creature army, draw engine, life engine. Each Cat that ETB when Warleader attacks you can pay one mana to draw a card as well as gain life in combat which pumps Pridemate. These three creatures and Destiny is the direction I think you should go. They curve into each other and having a Warleader and Mentor in play makes it okay to attack with a Warleader even if it's going to die. Warleader is still making two Cats which you can pay mana to draw two cards because of Mentor.
For the sideboard consider Ajani Unyielding? This Ajani is very underrated. His +2 ability is very good with Cats because it allows to reveal any number of them as well as Destiny, Mentor, Cast Out, Seal Away, other Ajani in the top three cards and put them into your hand. He's also repeatable exile creature removal, that's very helpful.
Good luck at FNM.

I like your deck build going here, I love vampire decks, as for info on Vampires and tokens, here's the things I like so far with yours
- Procession and radiant destiny to increase the effects of doubling and adding bonuses + vanquishers banner
- Call to the feast is definitely a must have for this, not sure if your interested but there's also Queen's Commission as well
- If you could, try earning a Legion's Landing Flip card because thats a amazing card for vampires and tokens especially
Here's my advice: I'd lower off some creatures a bit like Sadistic Skymarcher (costs 4 or 3 depending on choice but flying is nice with it except very little difference from aspirants for a quick token deck build), Ravenous Chupacabra (find sorceries or instants to slay off creatures, not saying its bad but vampires), Voracious Vampire (since its effect triggers only once and for a 3 cost it wont help with tokens much as it only affects 1 vampire for 1 turn). I'd also 2nd removing Moment of Triumph like Exodus2727 mentioned. In your case you'll want vampires to be fast, skymarcher aspirant to 4x, vicious conquistador to 4x kind of thing because it makes city's blessing that much easier. Keep Elenda, the Dusk Rose for sure, I even prefer 2 of them if you can manage to get two of them.
If your also trying a life gain method with Twilight Prophet I'd honestly take it out if for that reason, but for ascend reason would make sense. Thats up to you, Personally myself, I'd take it out. Moment of Craving isnt a bad card but not best suited for a token deck nor is it extremely useful later on. Charge isnt bad either but with all the anthems you already have, its not completely necessary. I mean Legion Lieutenant, Radiant Destiny and the banner are all you need really.
Forerunner of the Legion I'd rather have Dusk Legion Zealot for card draws, may cost 2 mana but as I mentioned to rid of quite a few of things, you'll only want to add in cards you really need, thats where zealot comes in handy.
Here's my short version because I write to much, thanks if you read if so
Take out - Mo craving, Mo triumph, charge, prophet, sadistic skymarcher, voracious vampire, chupacabra, arterial flow is better with more of but I prefer to take it out, and possibly vicious offering in replace for a Gideon's Reproach or even Walk the Plank sorcery. Fatal Push if can get a couple of those.
Have - 4x skymarcher aspirant, 4 vicious conquistador, 2 elenda (if can), 4x martyr, 4x legion lieutenant, keep mavren at 2x or 3x, 4x dusk legion zealot, maybe 2x-4x Queen's Commission from earlier mentioned. 2x-3x Legion's Landing Flip radiant destiny 3x or 2x of depending, 2x procession, and gruesome fate. The rest should be lands
I hope this helps out a little bit or maybe to much because I tend to overdo writing alot.

When I build decks I personally try to have a playset (4) of most of my cards, especially the important ones such as Elenda, the Dusk Rose as this increases the reliability of my deck. So you might want to consider playsets of your most important cards and remove the less important cards. As you are going for a token theme maybe remove cards such as Moment of Triumph and have 4 of Charge.

I would also suggest removing Squire's Devotion because many of your guys already have lifelink, so it somewhat defeats the purpose. Unclaimed Territory would be a good addition to your manabase because you dont have too many non creature spells and it definitely helps you hit Gifted Aetherborn on curve after a white one drop. Sanctum Seeker is the biggest win con for vampires in my opinion, and you should run a full play set of them. And I would suggest replacing Moment of Triumph with Moment of Craving simply because the latter is very good removal. I would suggest filling out your one drop slot with a lot more creatures if you want your deck to be Aggro. If you would prefer midrange, maybe add one or two more mana and add a couple copies of Bishop of the Bloodstained.

I have a few suggestions after looking at your set up here.
Mana Base: (24)
2x Field of Ruin - optional but handy in a pinch to fetch a color you are getting screwed on
3x Ifnir Deadlands - sac a desert to take out a threat of your opponents. (I like this desert)
4x Shefet Dunes - Lets you sac a desert late game to make a big push, and you really don't care about paying a life for a mana.
Explanation: Fill the remaining spots with basic mana, Personally feel like 20 is too low, you have little ramp and not much card draw - 24 is a much safer bet. Plus some of the deserts fill in nicely to give you an extra push to victory.
Explanation: First off Vicious Conquistador seemed super out of place, especially as a one-of. I would replace this with another Dusk Legion Zealot. Also personally not a huge fan of your other one-of Bishop of Binding. You are exiling a creature, GREAT! But in order to really make him shine you need to swing in with him, making him open to removal (Fumigate, and other attacking instants) I do think he is a good sideboard creature. I also feel like Famished Paladin might be wasted for reasons I will explain later. Although leaving him in and taking out some Instants or Sorceries, might be ok. But that Would be personal preference.
I think you want to focus on your core creatures being: Dusk Legion Zealot, Legion Lieutenant & Martyr of Dusk. Where Twilight Prophet & Champion of Dusk are nice late game closers, one gives you draw and the other takes life and gives it to you. The extra fluff in the Chupies and Forerunner is probably better as some extra enchantments.
TBH I think your spells and artifacts need to go. Pride of Conquerors is better off as a radiant destiny, Azor's Gateway Flip with you current curve you would need to hit and exile one creature from each CMC including your Vraska. Moment of Triumph is OK but wouldn't it be better to pump out some tokens instead??
2x Fatal Push - great removal, takes care of a lot of early threats
4x Queen's Commission - The most annoying thing about the vamp decks is the ability to create lifelink tokens and pump them up
4x Call to the Feast - These will give you such a crazy board state.
Your enchantments are looking great only have a couple suggestions here.
4x Radiant Destiny - Should be your gameplan, get ascended and win

Im going to go down an Adanto Vanguard and up a Legion Lieutenant. I originally had Moment of Triumph in the deck and had swapped for the Vampire's Zeal because it gives the first strike, since I figured I would already have a way to get out the Crested Sunmare trigger with the lifelink, I feel like I need to get more play to determine if I want my creatures to survive or the guaranteed life gain trigger.
I like the Aerial Responder but worry that I miss out of the horse or vampire synergies. May be worthwhile as a sideboard if I have to get over the top.
