junga on Mono white +1 counters and lifelink

So, ur deck is kind all over d place, no offense. U decided wat u want ur deck 2 do, but not How (+1 counters vs enchantments, win con etc) and some cards haver no place in there (some odd ones R d Soul's Attendant (fits swarm strategy better), Rhox Veteran (needs swarms and .. i really dont like dat card lol) and d Arcbound Mouser (needs other artifact creature 4 it's ability), Rising Populace (outclassed as far as cmc goes, and ia more of a aristocrat card)and u lack evasion (only d princess may avoid some blockers. Ill assume u want a more direct aggro strategy. Lets focus on creatures first, Sacred Cat os quite Nice, even better agains removal heavy, Healer's Hawk is another 1cmc slot and adds evasion. At d 2cmc u can fill with some 2/2 lifelinkers (LL) (there r some Functional reprints of Ajani's Sunstriker If u want other models and Sungrace Pegasus 1/2 flying LL. On a heavier cmc u can consider Seraph of Dawn as a finisher, a 2/4 LL with flying is Nice. u could consider ETBs pumpers like Dawnfeather Eagle so u can hit and still keep ur defenses up. On d +1 counter profit u could consider maybe Ainok Bond-Kin giving ur creatures with +1/+1 d first Strike ability. I would drop d enchantments pumps since u wont b protecting ur creatures. As Far as removals Go, 8 cards should b enough i Guess. U could use Oblivion Ring or Journey to Nowhere and Sunlance , there r some other Fun options like Weight of Conscience . I would also drop Battlefield Promotion , Moment of Triumph and Wanderer's Strike . Shoulder to Shoulder could be paired with Unbounded Potential for some card draw. White doesnt have dar many card advantage maybe Revitalize could help u 2, and drop 2 Idyllic Grange 4 2 Secluded Steppe . Dis r Just some random thoughts, d most important is 2 have Fun. Oh, and when starting a New deck, think about d rules of 4 (9-10 different non-land cards, 4 copies each so u can reproduce more consistent outcomes )

this deck is pristine, my friend. I would update it to some of the Cavaliers from m20, specifically Cavalier of Night . I woukld cut Blessing of Belzenlok , as there are better combat tricks, even if the creature is legendary(specifically Battle Mastery ) and all your Ajani's Welcome (No lifegain payoff). I would add in two addition History of Benalia for constaincy and a playset of Murderous Rider , sutting out Dub and 3 Moment of Triumph .

Love this deck +1 from me.

I would run Reckless Rage into the ground until it rotates out: not only does it not kill the Arcanist, but it also works wonders with Tenth District Legionnaire since it adds a counter on her before damage and she stays alive, plus the scry ... then Feather and repeat.

I also run a few Shock to ward off those pesky mono-red decks and the like. Plus in a heavy-hitting green match-up a Shock plus Rage gives you 6 damage for the low price of 2 red mana.

I only run 20 mana total in my deck since your scry and draw ability are insane. I've played single mana hands before and still done fine with how low this deck curves out.

My problem recently has been against other aggro decks that beat me out by just one or two life and it's been frustrating. I really like how you've incorporated Healing Grace and Moment of Triumph into this deck which have been the changes I think I've needed to put this over the top in my store meta. So thanks for the ideas!

Keep it up and I look forward to your updates and progress!

Murphy77 thanks for the advice! I was running Sure Strike and Run Amok but I continually ran into issues where I just didn't have or want to spend 2 mana on an instant. In the case of Run Amok we also need to have our creature attacking so it's useless when trying to save a creature from shock or something. They also make it harder to get the effect of Dreadhorde Arcanist off. I will definitely consider both for a sideboard position but so far my experience with the deck makes me want to keep all my instants and sorceries at 1 CMC if possible. Feather is a 3 drop so ideally we want to drop her on turn 4 with one white up to protect her if need be. Dropping her on turn 3 leaves her open to removal and any later than turn 4 and you risk falling too far behind to recover.

Moving onto my reasons for 2 Gird for Battle I was torn on the card but it has been surprisingly useful. I hate that it is a sorcery but being able to give 2 creatures +1+1 and possibly prock Tenth District Legionnaire is just amazing. Plus when we attack with Dreadhord he can do it all over again (assuming Feather is not on the field). So for 1 mana I can beef two of my creatures by 2 (4 in the case of legionnaire!). If this card was an instant you better believe I would be running 4 copies. I don't think Tiana, Ship's Caretaker has any synergy with this deck but it is a real cool card.

Another card I have been back and forth on is Spellgorger Weird . I love the card but it dies to Shock and is a 3 drop. I know Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin does as well but the potential for him to swarm the board justifies that in my eyes. Honestly I like both cards very much and I may sideboard one to swap out with the other depending on the match-up.

As for Ajani's Pridemate that is a strong contender for the deck right now. It's a two drop and if I started running 4 Moment of Triumph it could get real spooky real fast! I'll do some play testing to see if that should claim a spot. I see a lot of potential with it. I'm hesitant to run Battlefield Promotion because, again, it costs 2 but if pridemate work's as well as I think it might replace Gird for Battle .

Guttersnipe is a cool card and I can see it working really well in the deck but I'm not sure that is the strategy I want to go. I've been screwed too many times by that card so using it might leave a bad taste in my mouth. I was running Electrostatic Field because it's a good blocker and does some poke damage but I think I want to focus more on getting my creatures beefy and swinging.

Again, thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to update this page once I've tested out some different things.

Having 2 different spells that make your creatures indestructible has worked for me. I tend to go with Sheltering Light and Adamant Will . Sure Strike and Run Amok in place of burn spells forces you to go more aggro from the start.

Gird for Battle just seems to have a very narrow window when it adds any value to the deck. While Dreadhorde Arcanist is great for when you don't get Feather, the Redeemed out, it exiles the instants that you want to recycle with Feather. I had a look at Tiana, Ship's Caretaker but that also limits your pump spells.

The best version of this deck may well be one where each time that you cast an instant spell, you are placing a +1/+1 counter on at least one creature. Spellgorger Weird just slots right into any Feather deck. Guttersnipe could fill a gap and belongs in the side-board. At the moment, I am leaning heavily toward Ajani's Pridemate as my final creature to collect counters (with Moment of Triumph and Battlefield Promotion in the main-board).

Thanks for the comment The_Dark_Adonis,

Yes there is a clear weakness here. If you play Guttersnipe late in the game, when you are re-playing 4 or 5 instants per turn (using the effect of Feather, the Redeemed ), it becomes a very strong card. It does, however, add very little value to the early game. Torch Courier is a strong first turn play that adds nothing later in the game. Skirk Prospector could work as an early chump-blocker, or give you 1 extra red mana - nice, but certainly not a game-changer.

I started this deck with Tajic, Legion's Edge and Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice in that slot, but wanted to reduce the mana curve and increase tempo. Another option that I did consider was to replace Guttersnipe with Ajani's Pridemate and try to bring in Moment of Triumph or Fountain of Renewal . That would give you a spread of creatures that collect +1/+1 counters before attacking behind Adamant Will or Sheltering Light . I suppose that the biggest reason that I didn't go down that road is that I wanted to try to keep a balance between and .

There is clearly room for improvements, which will hopefully become clear after a few rounds of play-testing at FNM's, or even in Arena
