Lightform

Enchantment

When Lightform enters the battlefield, it becomes an Aura with enchant creature. Manifest the top card of your library and attach Lightform to it. (To manifest a card, put it onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature. Turn it face up at any time for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)

Enchanted creature has flying and lifelink.

Okey, cool! Then I would firstly recommend to take away four lands since (mathematically) you only need about 36 lands to have a good enough chance to draw them without drawing too many at any given time (also depends on how you shuffle of course ;) ). Then I would also again recommend to take a look at my deck when it comes to which lands you should play to up those a notch since there are a lot of lands that aren't very useful (especially the double-lands with no other effects) in the precon.

Other cards I genereally recommend to take out other than the lands:

Crystal Ball

Seer's Lantern

Adarkar Valkyrie

Conundrum Sphinx

Duskmantle Seer

Enigma Sphinx

Geode Golem

Jeskai Infiltrator

Loyal Subordinate

Loyal Unicorn

Magus of the Balance

Ninja of the Deep Hours

Serra Avatar

Silent-Blade Oni

Sower of Discord

Army of the Damned

Skull Storm

Cloudform

Lightform

So these are cards that I don't feel are good enough for the deck idea (casual/budget or not) or simply lack theme-quality. Feel free to ask if you need help replacing these cards with the cards you have or find cards that could fit the deck! :)

I’ve also played Brago and there are 2 very good budget things you can do with this deck. 1, ramp. 2, draw. Brago basically doubles your mana from mana rocks, so if you have a lot of mana and a lot of draw, that is powerful. That’s why Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe cost so much.

Let’s start with ramp. He can blink mana rocks so your mana rocks need to enter untapped. No Fieldmist Borderpost effects. Instead, you have Mana Geode , Darksteel Ingot , Prismatic Lens , Hedron Archive , Basalt Monolith , Peregrine Drake (he’s fun), and anything else you have. Sol Ring and what not.

Now draw. Mystic Remora is definitely worth the price. It’ll draw you a ton of cards and Brago will keep the upkeep cost to . Other good draw is Trial of Knowledge , Sea Gate Oracle , Unquestioned Authority , Traveler's Cloak , Pentarch Ward , Curator's Ward (you draw cards and can trenchant your commander!) Heliod's Pilgrim , and more. There are always permanents that help you draw.

Shoutout to Cloudform and Lightform for cheating everything into play. Should you want to keep your manifested a creature a 2/2 instead of blinking it (for example, it’s an instant) you only need to blink the ~~~~form enchantment. Also, Reality Acid and Nevermaker do great.

Also, planeswalkers. Add them if you’ve got them. Like Narset, Parter of Veils . She’s good.

Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves . You’ll need to protect your commander. Most people target Brago.

Those are my suggestions anyway. Now if you’re to take any cards out, I’d start with Serra's Blessing . Your commander can blink itself and all your creatures so they have pseudo-vigilance. I’d also remove instants and sorcerers from your deck that can be easily replaced with a blinkable permanent with the same effect ( Unsummon —> Nevermaker ).

Hey, thanks for making suggestions for my Brago deck, really appreciate that. I feel the deck you brewed here is very versatile. I really like how you make your mana curve so balanced and you have enough counterspells and removal cards to face all different situations. Some suggesetions and questions: why do you put Geist of Saint Traft in the deck? It does not work with Brago from my perspective; If you are using Lightform and Cloudform , I would suggest also put Sensei's Divining Top into the deck, just to reduce the chance you enchant a non-creature card with them and it is a good artifact by itself; Venser, the Sojourner is a nice planeswalker that has a high synergy with Brago because of its blink(+2) and unblockable(-1) abilities. Last, I suggest replace Detention Sphere with Oblivion Ring , they are basically the same card and the latter is easier to cast.

You might like Lightform and Cloudform for this deck! Flickering manifest cards with Brago brings them back in face-up, and when the auras re-enter you can manifest again. Strionic Resonator is also nuts, and goes infinite with enough mana rocks out :)

I had a Brago deck once before and I loved it, and these three cards were a huge part of that

If you are going to an Esper control route with a sub theme of flicker, here might be some cards that can be of use. I'm going to list all the budget ones since you didn't really specify a limit. A fun way you can win though with a lot of manipulation is Approach of the Second Sun!

There are plenty of cards that can help, but hope this small tidbit helps!

Thanks so much for your help 5c0r910n and pillowmint:)

I have made the following cuts:

Boreas Charger, Trinket Mage, Yennet, Cryptic Sovereign, Treasure Hunt, and Lightform

To add:

Mulldrifter, Ashen Rider, Infinite Reflection, Trinket Mage, Lavinia of the Tenth, and Reveillark

These are just preliminary cuts and adds. I see a lot more cards I want to put in the deck from your suggestions, but I am not sure what cards to cut for at least some of the following:

Dire Undercurrents, Cathars' Crusade, Knight-Captain of Eos, Rite of Replication, Jace's Mindseeker, and Pull from the Deep

Day of dragons looks awesome do you think Synthetic Destiny would be a worthy include as well?

I don't have a specific outlet for the Peregrine Drake combo but both cards are super powerful in blink and getting infinte mana is always helpful:) Do you think I should work some outlets in for the possibilty of comboing off or is it not worth it?

Thanks again for all your help:)

so i don't know why your running Trinket Mage, doesn't hit like anything in your deck.

In my opinion Boreas Charger isn't very good, and same goes for Pilgrim's Eye.

i don't think Lightform and Yennet, Cryptic Sovereign are too good considering your lack of big stuff

Eldrazi Displacer can only be activated with like three of your lands, so i don't think its worth running.

Mulldrifter is good here, might as well run it instead of one of your draw cards, definitly better then Treasure Hunt.

Infinite Reflection is a whole lotta fun, powerful, dumb stuff

Day of dragons is insane in this deck. Basically you get a whole bunch of 5/5 flyers, hit you opponents with em, then flicker it to get a bunch of etbs from your minions, and then get the 5/5s back. Also makes you basically immune to board wipes, including your own. Angel of Despair Luminate Primordial and Ashen Rider are good high end to help you beat down your opponents with high value etbs.

cards like Lavinia of the Tenth, Stonehorn Dignitary, Knight-Captain of Eos and Azorius Justiciar do a good job of protecting your face and aminatou, and stalling for the big stuff

if you like gonti then Jace's Mindseeker is for you.

Cathars' Crusade and Dire Undercurrents are really good with stuff like Eerie Interlude

Rite of Replication, Hour of Eternity and Pull from the Deep are crazy in the late game

if you can find one Blade of Selves is really good

Have you considered running the manifest tech in the deck? It will help you play those high cmc cards earlier. Mastery of the Unseen, Lightform and Cloudform are some of the cards I have in mind. Also, you seem to have missed Insidious Dreams and Vampiric Tutor. It's a pretty good way to get high cmc cards on top of your library. If the budget isn't tight, Jace TMS should be an autoinclude.
